nightdark drips into my eyes
addictive deadly silence
listless portals neutralize
the agony of absence
erratically my heart skips beats
in terror staring blindly
the dark despair of soulless feats
soon wraps it's cloak around me
terrifying pangs of death
resound from some vague distance
none could my soul delivereth
and not face great resistance
fallen from grace and perfection
none shall trust forevermore
offered only false protection
insignificant and sore
none can save me from these scars
nor from shadow save my soul
all the deaths of countless wars
cannot measure darkness' toll
my blessing, freedom, this my curse
bound to fall for gift of mind
left to die in withered verse
left alone my soul to bind...
