Diana ran as fast as she could, her father was chasing her with the whip again. She had been late getting home by five minutes. Her father was furious as usual was was going to beat her for being late, even if it was only by five minutes. Her father had never been very forgiving to her, he oft beat her for no reason at all but, alas, she could do nothing for until she was 18, which was when she was of marrying age by human standard, she was stil a child. She ran hard until she bumped into The Black Angel. She saw the distress on her face and knew, Lady Karen, The Black Angel, was the only one who knew of her father and his beating her.
Karen pushed Diana behind her gently as her father caught up. "Thank you for restraining my daughter, Black Angel. I will take her home and-"
"And nothing. You plan to beat her, the fear in her eyes tells it all. You've been beating her ever since her mother died. That ends now. I won't have it a second longer. You are going to stop now or be hanged. Beating your children or your wife, which, i know you did, to death, is a crime punishable by a hanging in the Rebel Ranks. You know that."
"You cant do anything to me! I have never laid a hand on her!" "Denail will do naught to save you, General. I sentence you to Banishment from Emerson. Never again will you lay a hand on your daughter." Karen, being the niece of the Rebel Leader, had the power and position to banish Diana's father. Karen's parents were killed by the king, a man who beat his children, many years ago. Now Karen had a son, Scott, whom Diana secretly loved to death, and was married to the former Prince Nicholas, known as the Living Shadow to all but those who knew his name.
"Noo! You can't!"
"I can, I will, I have. Begone. If you are not out of town by dusk tomorrow, I will see you hanged. One, for beating Diana, two, for disobeying me."
Diana's father then said, "Let me take my daughter home."
"No. She is no longer, your daughter. Now, she is going to a new home. Where she will not be abused." Diana let Karen wisk her away, knowing her father knew full well that he had no chance of getting to her now.

That same year, Diana was adopted by her best friend Tara's parents, known as Rose and Dagger-point to everyone else. Diana didn't mind having siblings now. It meant she wasn't alone in the house anymore. At night she stil had nightmares of her father coming, and killing her gruesomely, for the years to come, she never could get the thought of her mind that he would come back for her. And when he did, he would kill her.

Over the next couple of years, the Black Angel trained her how to fight, how to move, how to act, and everything else she would need to survive on her own. Of course, Diana learned fast and with time, was given a title name and rank. She was known as The Grey Angel or Captain T.G.A or just G.A. There were now the Angel Triplets. The Black Angel, The White Angel, which was the wife of Raven Claw, Karen's brother, Devon, and now there was the Grey Angel.

Early one morning, Diana awoke and looked at the rising sun that peeked over the horizon. "I'm free...finally free..."
