It's a Cajun miracle~!
It has been said that most of my thoughts should be kept to myself.
The topic of homosexuality seems to always find its way into my daily conversations. This wouldn't bother me so much if it weren't always spoken of in a negative way. It may just be the area I live in, but homosexuals are considered to be the spawn of the devil around here. I've even found myself being bashed over the topic just because I don't think it's a sin or an abomination to God. Now, I do understand that this is the internet and that homosexuality isn't some huge disgrace to most people who are on this site. It's just frustrating having to live around so many ignorant people who are blind to diversity and hate change. So let's call this my little rant on the unintelligent people I must associate with on a daily basis~

The topic that is most often discussed (and the only one I really wish to rant about) is whether or not homosexuality is a choice. Amongst those who I've talked to about this topic have always believed homosexuality is a choice people make just to defy God and be sinners. [ Let me stop here to add that I am not trying to insult anyone's beliefs or force an opinion down their throats. ] Personally, I have always been attracted to the male sex - placing me in the category of "straight". Maybe this was just me, but I was never attracted to both men and women. I never made the choice that I would only be attracted sexually to men. In my mind, that's like saying a person decides what race they wish to be when they're born. I definitely do not remember ever deciding that I was going to be Caucasian. I know everyone has their own beliefs and I'm sure there are some people who are attracted the same sex (or both) that believe they did make the choice. If you happen to be one of those people, I'd love to hear your opinion on this situation. I've never heard the story told from such a viewpoint before. I guess that makes my opinion on this pretty biased, but a lot of opinions are. Welcome to present-day society~ Draining you physically and emotionally since 2000!
I believe love is a non-gender specific bond shared between two people.
I'll end with that. If you actually read all that, I'm astonished.
