I am so talented :: [ Joan practices the violin and the harp for two hours a day each. This and her math scores are what gained her entrance into this school and Juilliard. However, since she looks at music as a back-up profession she has choosen to attend Lucent High School. ]

I act like this sometimes :: [ Joannah has always been a very straight-laced girl. She knows what she is doing, how to get to her goal, and does it. She sees no point in being foolish about it. Although she applauds the artists and musicians that walk the hall beside her for their talents she does not look up to them because they are pursuing careers that are flimsy at best. The only people she does admire are her father and two elder brothers. She puts business, position, and appearance before everything else and will sacrifice anything if it means getting ahead. Because of this she has never made to many friends, but has never minded because that leaves her more time to spend on her studies. She doesn't particularly care for music but plays it to satisfy her mother and although she will never admit it she can find numbers slightly boring after a few hours of calculations. To refresh herself Joannah finds solace in solitary, physical activities such as swimming or jogging and on very rare occasions she also finds solace in chocolate. On an off day you might find her annoyed at practically everything that crosses her path and on a worse day you will find her annoyed at her parents constant pestering. On a good day, however, you will find her proper and respectful and relatively neutral on most topics unless having an opinion on them will somehow effect her status. She is perfectly fine with people knowing that she sees them all as opportunities and not as friends because she doesn't see the point in hiding it and is convinced that actually having friends will not get her anywhere. She's kind enough if you really insist on conversing with her but will most likely find a way to leave if you are not of any importance. So basically, she is the type of person that you approach, she does not approach you. ]

This is my story book tale :: [ Joannah was born the third and final child of the McDermitt family, a very prestigious and wealthy group. Her great, great grand-father had begun a small automotives company when he was a young man and it grew until it was the number one car manufacturer in Northern America. The company got passed down from father to son until it reached her father, a promising young entrepreneur just like the companies founder. He did not disappoint. When it came time for the man to marry he chose a beautiful model from Britain who just happened to be the daughter of Britain's number one car manufacturer. Soon after their marriage the two companies merged, Joannah's maternal grand-father retired and her father became international. Half a decade after this the pair realized that it would be in their best interest to birth an heir to their legacy. They had three.

Now that the children are grown their places have been set. The eldest is currently working his way up the corporate ladder to eventually take his father's place as CEO when he decides to retire. The second son is trailing closely behind, planning on taking his Uncles position as Vice President of the company when he decides to retire. And little Joannah is set to represent the family should another merger ever be in their future. To measure up to her parents expectations Joan, as her brothers affectionately refer to her, has been taught in the arts of ballet, violin, harp, horseback riding, and poetry. Her brothers both mastered similar talents. She has also maintained the highest grades in all of the private schools she has attended and won every completion she has entered, again, much like her brothers. Because her mother insisted that her daughter follow her foot steps into some kind of arts she was very insistent about the young girl learning at least one musical instruments. She has mastered two: the harp and the violin. Her talents even offered her a place at the world-renown Academy of Music, Juilliard. However, seeing as being a musician is a hobby and not a proper profession her parents declined the schools offer and sent her to Lucent High School for the Gifted, so that she may continue her musical hobby while sharpening her business skills as well.
