A horrible night
Another sleepless night lonely and still.
With only the sound of my breathing to break the peace.
My soul feeling empty like a vessel after a spill.
With a slight chance of my fatigue to increase.
A melody begins peaceful yet depressing also.
It plays over and over, only to end with my touch.
In doing such would increase a depression overflow.
Turning it off wouldn’t help much.
Unless you want silence, would only make matters worse.
To be completely alone on this dreary night.
My eyes are open and completely alert not even heavy enough to burst.
Give me something to cry over or at least tucker my sight
So I can get up and turn off the light.
And put an end to this horrible night.
