When I stepped out into the sunlight, I was blinded a little, but looking out from the forest I knew that a new day was starting. I got out my pokeball with Eevee in it and popped it out."Come with me Eevee" I said leaning down to let Eevee rest on my head. I started to head out into the forest again, but stopped at the foot of it. My stomach clinched up and thoughts of what happened ran cold in my memory. Eevee nuzzled my head as a sign of confidence that I wasn't alone anymore. With my eyes closed I kept going onward knowing that I don't need to be afraid anymore. I had a very loyal pokemon with me.
As the pathway ran out I stepped onto the grass. As soon as I touched it I felt something change around me, and in me at the same time, I ran over to a bush to see what was going on, I looked at my hands again they had lost the fur that was once there, and it was replaced by leaves. My tail was no longer furry anymore, but had been replaced by a long slinder leaf for a tail. I set my Eevee down to take a feel of my ears. My ears had been replaced by long wavy thin leaves. "Whow! You can change your shape like me!" Said a voice "Who's there?!?" I said turning around surprised. "It's just me..." said the voice. "Okay...who is just 'me'?" "Me, down here! Did you forget me already?" I looked down only to see my Eevee. "Eevee? Did you just talk to me?" Eevee looked at me disgruntled, "Well ya, who else am I talkin' to? The trees?" Still shocked that my Eevee spoke to me. Eevee stopped a moment to think on the concept.

"Wait... you actually understood me?!? I thought all humans couldn't understand us..." said Eevee about equally as shocked now. "Well we knew you could communicate but all we ever hear is just your name all the time..." Eevee taking a moment to pause and uttered "So that's why..." Then turned back to me, "Well I'm glad at least you understand me. At least now I don't have to move my body around like an idiot to try to get you to understand an idea." Eevee said laughing to itself. "So...um...what gender are you...?" I said in confusion. "What gender am I? Well I guess it would be rude to look.... I am a female." said Eevee slightly blushing. "Well it's okay now, Im here to watch over you and protect you." I said leaning down. "Thanks master." She said blushing. "Na, you don't have to call me master. Just call me G.E.X or X for short if you want." I said blushing a little myself. "Okay X." "After all, we both share 'Eevee X' because of your noble act for me. I choose X because one line crosses another, your line and mine. But we'll know who's who right?" I said with a grin. Eevee laughed. "Alright" I said putting my cloak back on. "Shall we get going?" as I leaned down to pick up Eevee. "Yup! Let's go X!" She said with a smile and hopped up onto my head.
I continued down through the forest. I heard a sharp "HEY!" I turned slowly and saw what I think was a young bug catcher, due to his hat having a bug net on it. "Our eyes met so we have to battle!" "Battle? What's a battle?" The bug trainer was shocked, "You don't know what pokemon battles are?!?" He groaned a bit. "Alright Ill teach you about pokemon battles..." "When a trainer locks eyes onto another trainer then they HAVE to battle." "Why?" I asked confused. "Because it shows other trainers that you have what it takes to win." "Ooh" I said "Now a pokemon battle usually consists 2 trainers having up to 6 pokemon with them." "But I dont' have 6..." I said again confused. "Please! Let me finish!" I looked down, "Sorry..." "...or as many pokemon they have with them. They pit them against each other. And the first one to knock out all the opponents pokemon win." "Your not gonna hurt Eevee are you?!?" I said jumping up. "No no, I'm not gonna hurt it to the point where it's gonna die. Just until it's to tired to go on." "Still..." I said with a stern look.
"Anyway..." He said exchanging looks. "Durring battle if you somehow beat my pokemon it'll gain experence. When it has enough experence it will level up." "How will I be able to tell?" Then he looked at me like I had blown his lid. "Do you wanna learn this or not?!?!" I jumped back a little, "Sorry, sorry" After a bit of calming down he continued on. "If you win you get half my money and if I win then I get half of yours. Sound good?" In my mind I knew I didn't have any money but the idea of battling sounded fun. I looked up at my Eevee, she looked back and nodded as if to urge me on to let her fight. "Alright, we're in!" He pulled out a pokeball and Eevee hopped off my head and onto the ground to battle. This will be my first battle ever!
