After many hours off bad-attitude, and oceanic parlour tricks with Jas, we made it back to shore and set off into the complex maze of cave tunnels that surround the grove's heart.
But once we arrived we were not met by my dear brother, Xamm. Instead we faced some fiendish manipulation of his flesh - a black ooze golem who could summon a blood bind in all directions, forcing us into direct combat.
Luckily, Jas is a skilled warrior. What she lacks in manners she more than makes up for in ability to dispense with foul creatures. And as I tended to the bloody rags, which were all that remained of my brother, she froze the beast's head and smashed it into a million pieces.
After a heated exchange of blame, conspiracies and of course a few swift blows exchanged, Jas and I put aside our overzealous urge to blame the other for our current misfortunes - Me, the loss of Xamm. Her, the assassination of her mother - And we made our way further inland to find transportation to Theria, her home town, and the apparently the resting place of her mom.
But before we got far we were confronted with a young girl... the one from the nightmares! The ones I had before ever coming to this dreaded dimension. I didn't understand the connection, and thought it better to flee.
She went by the name Yuki. We WILL meet again.
