At this point I had sent out a letter to my first suspect RadioFox. My reasoning was that she and I had had a conversation that night about a generous gift she received, and I thought she might have thought I was the sender. She wasn't Magic however, and due to some confusion over the rules of the game Magic thought there was an imposter afoot

I sent my second guess to Aelurius on the grounds that she had shown a talent for poetry in the responses she sent to all her anons, but that was wrong as well. At this point a lot of the people I suspected were logging off for the night, and I was running out of choices.

My third letter was to xx..Badwolf..xx. I won't say what it was that made me choose her, except that she was my prime candidate for a different anon, and I thought she could have changed names to mess with me. Since this story goes on, you can guess what happened.

and so far I've not been found,

I've got a few cards up my sleeve,
I've used some of them,

There are tiny hints to my name,
in the things I've said, and some I've sent,
but if you don't see them, feel no shame.
But alas this will have to be it,
for now I must go off,
if only for a little bit.

but I like mysteries so I'll of course come back,
after about a day's break.

At this point all my suspects had either logged off for the the night for the night or had been eliminated already. I made a guess of yunaofparadise because Magic's first message had been under the belief I had sent them something first, and she was the only one left that night that I had sent anything, although she was just a lurking beggar that only poked her head in to ask for letters without making conversation, and didn't seem the type to play games.
I was hitting dead ends when I thought I made a breakthrough. I noticed that Asterlei, a user that hadn't been high on my list of suspects, was still online even though she'd announced she was logging off hours ago. My hopes were dashed, however, and I fumbled around for a few hours hoping to come up with something new, before I finally gave up around dawn.
The next day I found this message from Magic:

Looking over the Items sent in the gifts, Cjbroken and I came to the conclusion that most were either black or white, and all had come in purple wrapping. She made a guess of BrokenSister and I tried both iya keene and robotic wifey on the grounds they fit the color scheme. However, we apparently missed the mark, and Magic had this to say:

I do not mean to hurt your head...
I time things on purpose, I come, I lurk, I post, I leave
you and I haven't technically spoken
and I warned you, I've got cards up my sleeve...
Oh on the contrary, you're not up the wrong tree,
you just need to take a look,
at some of the items specifically.
I can tell you that some I gave on purpose,
while others are clues accidentally,
some are deeper, and others on the surface.
Sadly I'll probably need to break my rhyme,
just to keep things clear,
something I've been trying no to do for some time...
The black and white color scheme was an accident,
however I'll tell you it does happen to be my favorite.
I gave the Con. Tote bag to XxDarknesstxX on purpose... it means I've attended a con..
The Magicians wand because of the name Magic, and continuing the black and white theme you noticed.
The sneaky duck because that's what I am..
And lastly, the top I gave Broken, it says more than I meant. I bought it for her green avatar, and noticed other things.. all I'll say is it's not the color.
