Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

Deregulation will most certainly lead to companies cutting corner's at every chance and especially in the food or travel services would affect the customer's health. You can say "vote with your wallet!" as much as you want but profit will always be the motivator over a good sound product.

quality is a factor in profitability, increasingly (decreasingly) as the consumer demands better (poorer) information regarding their options. if one wishes to express skepticism towards the ability of consumers to obtain access to product review and consumer discussion - i wish to refer you to the internet, im sure you know where to find it.

quality and cost are just two of the factors that determine consumption choices. if other factors remain equal, then as long as and up to the point that our hypothetical consumer sees greater use value in a product of greater 'quality' - he/she will seek the highest ratio of quality to cost.

producers of various capability and circumstances will find it beneficial to adapt to various consumption factor niches, where each isolated firm fits best in the structure of production. consumers, within the constraints of product knowledge, decide by individual action the market size in which these various producers (of varying 'quality') find potential to exist.

'quality' is given its diminished status as it is a subjectively imposed evaluation, the conditional requirements for which are unique to each individual. when left to the market, each actor can pursue their own interpretation of 'quality'.

If the free market had its way. Workers would not be paid wages. They would not have to give them health care. They would not have to give them rights.

You would have 20 hour workdays.
You would have no vacation.

Such things are not efficient and they cut into the profits of some guy who does nothing all day.

The government needs to have its hand in the market. If not we wouldn't survive very long.

Want proof? Why do you think companies moved their factories to china?

ok. wow.

1. workers would not be paid? = slaves would work. i am unsure if you are presently able to define 'free market' - the wiki ?

2. healthcare wut? employers who provide the most popular or the best configuration of compensation methods will further attract more or the best of the labor force by providing the most utility in a mutually beneficial exchange of services and goods.

if superiority in negotiation potential exists at the level of medium to large firms (employer cuts deal with insurance firm in exchange for the many customers the employer will bring at once) - then the employer has found a way to provide additional utility to his employees at a reduced cost to him/herself - thus everyone is advantaged.

3. the foundation of rights is that someone or something has granted certain permissions. it assumes from the outset that one can be told what they can and cannot do - which can be accomplished by maintaining subservient ideology or the use of force (violence, captivity).

4. 20 hour workdays would be of extreme disutility to both employers and employees, a mutually disadvantageous fact of biological necessity (sleep deprived labor is not efficient, greater risk of capital depreciation[accidental damages]) , and recognition of predictable psychological states resulting from applying a means beyond perceived utility. regarding the psychological/emotional condition - if we continue with your assumption that people will work without pay, then it would not matter if the labor force worked for 2 or for 20 hours - they would not achieve the results of competitive self-motivated actors.

5. 'a guy who does nothing' ... please start reading at page 50 and learn about the structure of production.

6. why are factories moving to china, you tell me? as 'proof' for a bunch of disorganized general statements, it remains an assertion unconnected to any comprehensible understanding.

it would be a nice start to know what the words you use mean, and even better to provide a clear account of how you draw these conclusions. without explanation (any, at all) these are merely emotional sentiments - and ridiculous ones at that.
