It was as if yesterday; everything is still crystal clear in her head. That place, that weather, this nature, everything was still engraved in her mind, intact as if they were not memories.
It was late, a calm breeze was adding its personal touch to the dark veil of the night; sweet smells of the black roses were embracing the air, and suddenly, Jade came out of her sleep. She was waiting for the right time to come to go see the falling stars and it was also a good opportunity, not to miss if she was to leave that place forever as she could no longer bear anything. And that long awaited time finally came; she grabbed her black coat and went on her balcony. How would she get down now?
“Hmmm, dad had his guardians of the royal gate surrounding the palace. If I get down in the dark I will not be seen, so better I used my powers to be unseen,’ said Jade trying to figure out her way.
”Darkesta Invisiblio activastas” (activation of the dark invisibility power), she whispered that secret spell so that she became invisible.
She climbed down the creepers near her room and got down. She tiptoed to the main gate through the black roses that bloomed every night to sweeten her sleep.
“Damn, there are more people around for the guard than usual; will I be able to go through that security?I think I will be caught today. Dad really prepared his men in order to prevent me from going, huh. Aha nice try Mr. the King, but u will not be able to stop me.”
She stood aback all of a sudden and remembered her mother to whom she was so attached. Tears emerged from her eyes as she moved slowly to the main gate. She didn’t pay attention to the soldiers standing on their guard. Her body became numb; her breath was short and rapid. She looked back to that palace and cried out slowly. She missed her mother more than ever. Jade got all alone when her mother left this world. She was still very small, around her four years. She can still draw her mother’s face in the sky each time she missed her.
Her mother was suffering through a disease still unknown to the millions worlds. Jade remembered when her mother holding her on her lap on the bed, caressing her hair and singing the song that all mothers sung to their daughters on generations to generations: “It starts with pain, followed by pain, anger is growing inside;
That the joy that was inside has finished in becoming what makes you cry; what kind of world do we live in? Where nothing matters for people who are so cold? But within this entire heartless person; reside a mother, who always put this child above all; even she is stepped on and even if she has to fall.”
As she pronounced the last words of that song, black roses started growing over them, shedding their petals on the mother and jade. Jade was scared and crouched to her mother. She held her little daughter firmly and jade fell asleep in the warmth. As she was lost in a passionate sleep her mother put her down next to her on the bed and watched her sleep peacefully. Then, after sometime, she held jade’s hand, kiss her on the forehead. A black and white halo appeared around the body of the mother causing her body to brighten.
As Jade opened her eyes slightly, she could see a bright light surrounded by a black and white fume up in the air. Still being in her sleep, she was unable to open her small black pearl-like eyes wide and above that the light was so strong that it has a piercing effect. Seeing this power from inside, everyone came running to see to tell the king about it. The king dashed in her wife’s room and was shocked to see such phenomenon. He came to Jade, took her in her arms and stepped back. The servants were astonished and frightened. They had never seen such a thing happening before.
Within few seconds, she was gone. The Queen had disappeared along that fumes and the light.
Jade could only remember slightly that day. Yet she still remembered the divine face, the golden voice of her mother. She took a deep breath and decided that she will never faced back this place as it is where she lost her mother due to the tyranny of the evil king that she has as father. She hated that man more than the evil himself because that individual had rotten their life. He was a drunkard and could not control his anger at all. He always took out his anger violently not only through words but through cruel tortures that he inflicted to his wife. The poor queen had to bear such sorrow. On thinking of that Jade could feel anger running in her veins.
No more time to lose in this place anymore, she walked to the gate with the guards around. “Lub dub, lub dub, lub dub,” made her heart on beating faster and faster. Will she be able to leave without being caught? She started advancing a little bit faster. She was now in the midst of those guards. Some were gossiping among themselves.
“Do you know what my girlfriend did tell me last night? She wanted to have a mad love,” said one of the officers’ .All the others were laughing as if it was a real fun to hear the personal life of the people.
Jade was got little bit intimidated by what she just heard. “Disgusting, the minds of guys nowadays,” grumbled Jade to herself. Suddenly the guards grabbed their staffs and moved forward.
“Oh my god, I am a dead-duck now,” murmured the princess.
