Well it's the biggest thing to happen to me in the longest time and it's ever so exciting!!!
Scott and I got engaged On Saturday 1st March 2008!!!!
Only took him 7 years and 2 months - you can't rush these things you know!!!

Nah we always said it would happen after he finished uni and he was in a stable job. So that happened then it all happened! I actually picked out the ring in December, so I knew it would eventually happen, I just didnt know when exactly. So we kept it a secret form EVERYBODY!! None of our family and friends knew! Hee hee hee

Well, its 7 months on and we're still living here on the farm with no signs of going anywhere soon!
Absolutely loving it here. Its so peaceful and quiet and relaxing. You can actually leave your car unlocked without fear of someone coming along and stealing it! Oh joy!
Nothing really new to report so i will leave it at that!

Update time....
Well, I am here on the farm. Its pretty good! Bit of a shock moving from the city to here. At night its sooooo dark (no street lights or neighbours lights, except for scotts aunty and uncle across the road but they're in bed by like 9pm) and its soooo frickin quiet! (Except if you count for the cows which have just had their calves taken away, the're so depressed and devastated right now! gonk )
So the flies were real bad when we got here, they're gone now - yay for dung beetles!!! Its like the middle of summer - yay for ducted air con - yet we're having unseasonally cold weather - rain and wind and stuff. But its all good. Been here technically a month and still nowhere near being unpacked xd
Christmas was good - it was also my birthday, did lunch with my parents, then dinner with dads family. New Years was cool too - had a few friends here at the farm. We could make as much noise as we wanted cos....theres no one around to tell us off!!!
So yeah, i'm around, here and there, unpacking some, playing some.

Wow, i din't realise it had been so long since i'd written in here! Guess I better give you an update of what's been happening....not much really.
My Nan sadly passed away in March. Love you Nan!!! So i am now grandparentless. Scott only has his nan left - but i think she'll be around for a while to come.
I got a new car - yay yay yay!!! Had it for 2 months and then a kangaroo decided it would jump in front of us one night. Gee thanks. Damage wasn't too - bad - i've been driving it around for months and got it fixed last week! Nice one!
We got a new computer! Yip yoo! It's sweeeet. Don't ask me for specifications. I just know it works good.
Scott is almost finished un, and i'm on holidays now then have 8 weeks left of work before the end of the year. Then we're moving back home! HOORAY!!! I am going to miss it here though. We are moving to Scotts families farm for a few months to get us settled - so that should be really good! Very relaxing. Look out the window and see cows and kangaroos.
And thats about it for now! I hope everyone else is doing fine - keep in touch!!!

Just thought I'd update you on the serious goings on in my life at the moment.
Right, so Nan is still in hospital. She ended up having a full hip replacement. Also the cancer has spread so they are not operating on her, so it's just a waiting game now. She is, on a brighter note, hopefully this week going into a really nice nursing home. She can't be home alone, my Mum works all day so she can't go there and get her out of that dang hospital! She's been there for weeks!
And then...yes theres more. Bloody Scotts Mum went and had a heart attack on us didn't she. Tahnkfully she's ok - been given the all clear. But she's had to give up her pack a day of 16's cigarettes habit. Scary stuff that.
AND, my mum has had some medical pproblems too.
I'm so over it. I just want soemthing good to happen for once. Just one little thing would do!

Just wondering how much worse this year can possibly get?
Let me go back to the start of the year so I can catch you up to how I am at the stage I'm at,
January - Scotts Pop dies suddenly
A month or 2 later, Scotts great uncle dies.
3 months after Pop - His uncle dies suddenly
3months later - my Nan passes away
3 months later - my Great Uncle Passes away
And now, we have just found out my other nan has cancer in the stomach. They were suppsed to operate on her Fri just gone but then decided oh no, we'll just take a look in there and a biopsy and make sure it hasn't spread anywhere else. Great.
Now I just got a message from my Mum a few hours ago and nan has had a fall. Theyre currently at the hospital waiting to go into theatre cos she's chipped a bone in her groin (better than the broken hip or pelvis they thought she might have had!)
So as you can see I'm having a great year. I'm putting up a brave front, as you do. But it's tough, and I don't know how much longer it's gonna take before I crack.
Cos on top of all this, we have also found out that my brother is not going to be spending Christmas/My Birthday with us this year. Wow. Thanks. No, his girlfriend (NOT the mother of the children) has decided theyre going to spend it with her Mum - who lives about 2 hours away. No compromise nothing, so the kids miss out on seeing all there family this year, and it being our 1st xmas without nan, and other nan is like really bad - selfish. Very selfish.
Now Scott and I are making compromise. This is the first year his parents are being around for xmas. So we live an hour and a half away, are going to spend lunch with his family and dinner with mine. Is that so hard to deal with? So i'm really not a happy camper with my brother and his girlfriend at the moment.
Right, enough of my ramblings and dramas. I hope everyone else is doing well and give you big Hugshes!!!!

Well, lets see, what has been happening
Ummm....
Last weekend we went home from Friday to Tuesday so here's the run down.
Friday - last day of work for 2 weeks! Yay Holiday! We grabbed my niece and nephew and the dog and drove home. A normal 1 and a half hour trip took slightly longer due to the fact it was the first day of school holidays and a long weekend and we were going from the city to the country. So we got there, dropped the kids off, arrived at our mates where we were staying (Pigga, Bek and Timmah), had a roast lamb, then went to our other mates and played some cards.
Saturday - Got up, went to the shops, went to the pub for a bit to watch the AFL (Australian Rules Football) Grandfinal. My team lost. Booooo. Then we went home and watched the 2nd half there. Then we went out to the farm cos Scotts parents were putting on dinner - his dads bday, and their wedding anniversary, and scotts mums bday combined.
Sunday - Went to the pet shop cos Piggas got a new 6 foot fish tank and Scott being the fish geek was helping set it up. Then we went bush bashing to find some rocks and stuff for it.
Monday - it was hot, so my bro invited us for a bbq on the foreshore with Gabs and the kids. Was going great (got sunburnt) until Trent copped a full swung cricket bat to the side of his head. I've never seen such a huge lump come up so quick before. So he was rushed up to hospital (he was fine), we went and saw my Mum and Dad.
Tuesday - went and saw me nan then drove home.
And today, Wednesday, poor ole Bella had her womans operation. She wasnt too happy when we picked her up and the poor thing has to wear one of those Elizabethan collar things for 10 days! No good for a psycho dog! Oh...and we purchased a new fridge - Yippppeee!
Phew. Ok, I think thats it. Sorry to bore. BYE!

Phew what a day.
Had the family here today for Fathers Day (yes I know it's only Saturday) but there are reasons. Cos tomorrow my Dad has footy and couldn't come up to us, and we couldn't go down there cos we are going next weekend.
So Mum, Dad and brother came. They also went and got my bro's kids who live with their Mum about 10min down the road so they could see their Dad for Fathers Day and plus it was Akira's Bday today!
So Scott cooked us a boodiful BBQ lunch with yummy salads and homemade bread and it was awesome. I was so full. Gee I love my man. heart mrgreen
Then the kids had to be back at their Mums by 2pm cos she was having a partay for Akira. And it was all over red rover by about 3:30. It was only the 2nd time my Dad has been to my house since we been here (year and a half). We do live and hour and a half away but hey come on!
So that was my day. Next weekend is gonna be a big one. Got Scotts brothers 30th Bday on the Saturday night, plus its one of our good mates Piggas Bday too!
