Longer Facts About Vunderling
Notice: This list is was created on January 26th, 2006.

01 - There's no genre (in literature, television, and film that) I enjoy more than science fiction. I've been a sci-fi fan since I became steadily hooked on Star Trek: The Next Generation in 1994.
02 - Years of Advanced Placement English Literature mean I'm trained in a formal interpretation of literature (specifically "close reading" wink and studied enough books to put me on the shelf (excuse the metaphor) with your borderline literary geek.
03 - Being a Media Studies student, I'm familiar with academic discourse and prefer topical discussions with that level of structuring, but I'm not fond of academia at all.
04 - My faith will probably always be in the Abrahamic God, but I hate religion in general.
06 - Neil Gaiman's The Sandman is the one thing I'd keep if I had only one thing to read forever.
07 - Characters I idolize tend to be of the older male scholar and teacher archetype, such as Methos of Highlander: The Series, Marius of Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles, and Hiko Seijuro of Rurouni Kenshin. I think it's because I lack mentoring and my father has always been a mess of a man.
08 - I can definitely draw, but I don't anymore and am years out of practice anyway.
09 - My DDR level is Standard Mode, 7-footer.
10 - I like arcade shooters, such as Ninja Assault and the House of the Dead series.
11 - Everything for me defaults to serious mode, which means that I'll always evaluate, even what should be very deep, personal things, in an emotionally detached, scientific way.
12 - I dream whenever I sleep and can easily remember my dreams.
13 - Intentionally pretentious dialogue and comedically feigned idiocy tickle my brain. Non-sequiturs work too when they force me to do a mental double-take.
14 - I find some words, like heteroglossia, and ideas, like reductio ad absurdum, real *shiny*.
15 - No one is born knowing everything, even me. As of late though, I've been busy accomodating a paradigm shift of personal values and basically, too lazy and/or confused to work on it, which is just very, very bad.

Personal Website = Personal Gaia Thread?
I had a Gaia Itinerary Post setup here where I had a personal links list for my own convenience. But after realizing all the links automatically opened new windows, I deleted the post.

But Gaia still thinks this post exists, while displaying nothing. So I figured I might as well have something here instead of the blank page.

...I'm thinking of setting up a quest thread. I generally dislike quest threads, but some days, I just want to catalog data and have a place for other people to actively contribute *ideas*, if not gold.

I could open a thread in the Chatterbox and have rotating topics. Maybe that'd be better. The only downside is that the Chatterbox doesn't attract the best and the brightest. But then, there's no guarantee of intelligence at Charity/Quest either.

On the web, we've the idea of the personal website. In the mess that is Gaia, I wonder if a personal Gaia thread is something similar. Sure, we've got the Extended Profiles, but they're not true places of interaction.

Oh, I opened a Photobucket account. I'm sure it'll come in handy.
