heart Chapter One heart
Chesca was on her way to her new middle school, Black Hills Middle.
To her family it was strange to start school in January but Chesca herself thought nothing of it. She was becoming nervous as she kicked the leaves on the path, she was in a new school in a new place! She took a seat on bus and stared out the window. When they started moving she looked next to her to see a boy. He looked at her and said, "Hi my name's Jake, are you new to Seattle?" Chesca thought he was cute so she shyly answered, "Yeah, I came back from the Philippines last year, I travel a lot." Jake answered, "Thats awsome, you're really lucky; so what did you same your name was?"
"Oh, sorry, my name's Chesca." Jake answered " That's a cute but every cute girl needs a cute name.'' Jake blushed and realized how stupid he sounded, Chesca said ''thanks'' and stared out the window for the rest of the ride bt just kept thinking of how sweet it was. When they got to school Jake gave Chesca a note that said: Meet me at lunch.
