They never asked for this.

It was just sort of thrust upon them. Their life called for it. No one else could handle the stress of the world on their shoulders. Everyday was the same. It didn't matter that they had an itch on their back. No. They had to live for everyone else. They never could be their own person. As soon as they proved that they could hold the world, no one took it from them. Day after day.

It used to be worse.
They used to be alone.

Right when it seemed like they just wanted to throw it all away...they found each other. They took one look at the other and they knew it was meant to be. And on the days when it felt like they couldn't take it anymore, they just looked at the other person and realized that they could hang on just a little bit more longer with the other supporting them.
