Spending hours a day playing Pinball, and days figuring out the 'Insane' puzzle...just to get that CoCo Cat Plushie from the Marketplace, or that perfect ice-blue, flower-printed kimono.
It seems worth it, doesn't it? To spend days and days or sometimes months just to get that "just right" acessory to add to your avatar. Then when you have that 15,500 Gold in hand to purchase that perfect item, it feels great.
Or in some cases, getting lucky at the Marketplace and find said item cheap. Now, like any other person, I heart that feeling of acomplishment, that one moment of exhuberance of "this, I DID THIS! I earned this, and now it's mine!"
But sometimes those prices seem ridiculous, and the prize money you get from games is just plain irritating (I can't tell you how many times I got 0 Gold on a Hard puzzle stressed ).
I want to get a good payout for spending an hour on a puzzle or racking up over 7mil on Pinball. It may sound selfish, but I want more for all those hours!
God, do I sound like a brat! gonk But I sure I'm not the only one thinking this.

I began to guestimate price how much $ I would spend on my friends and holy cow, was it expensive! I swear good ole saint Nick is a good ole extortonist!
My one friend is into vampire books (mostly hormonally crazed vamps, you know the sexy kind), so I went on to Borders.com, and found two of the books in a new series that she's read. $20.00 for two books less than 300 pages!
My other friend is also into the author of Diane Cook (or something like that), so I planned to buy her two book in the series she, too, was already reading. $14.00, over 200 pages, but still.
How big is that hole burning in my pocket? Oh, just 34.00 for four books!
Another friend of mine is really into Twilight and the store that offers the "best" Twilight crap is good old Hot Topic. Price of shirts? $22-24! Oh, hoodies you ask? $32-36!
Now how big? With T-shirt between $54-58! Wow, I think my pants are burning, too!
My closest and best friend, you can imagine, I want to buy the best gift for. She's really in the Marvel cartoons and heros, so I planned to buy her the "Dark Knight" DVD-BluRay. How much is that? $34.00.
Do I smell someone's money burning? Now the entirety of the presents are around $78.00-82.00. Do I even have anyclothes to wear to the mall?
I also wanted to get my mom a spa treatment, and you can imagine how expensive that it. And for my dad I wanted to by him two PS3 games. So there's about $120.00.
I love Christmas, but I hate spending so much money. All I can say is if I buy these friends those gifts foremetioned, I better get a nice return back! Wow, do I sound winey. stressed

Taking the "Christ" out of "Christmas" |
|

Today in my Senior Soc. class we watched a 5-min video about how some die-hard atheists are trying to take the relgious aspect of Christmas out of Christmas.
Now, I'm not a die-hard Christian, but I believe in God. So, naturally, this infurated me. All my life I was told that Christmas was about family, the birth of our savior, and the feeling of being loved. I didn't even know about Santa until I heard kids at my school talk about it.
If you think about it, if you take the "Christ" out of "Christmas", not only do you have a pitiful "mas", all you are left with is giving gifts to bratty girls and boys and endorsing the greeting card industry. That isn't what the upcomming holiday is about. It's about being with family, enjoying your family, and just enjoying life itself. Yes, gifts are nice, but when it comes to the naked facts, if the atheists win, there really isn't a Christmas.

What's wrong with the n00bz? |

I've been on Gaia for a max of about 3 days. And all ready I see a rather unhealthy trend. Many people have been on this site for years, and others have the means to buy Monthly Collectables, special "evolving" items, and the ability to easly glean Gaia Cash to burn.
That's all well and good, yet, some of those said people believe that they have the God-given right to bully, ocratisize, and be rude to the "n00bz" of Gaia. Going into Gaia Towns, Virtual Hollywood, and even the Jigsaw game rooms, I have been sometimes the object of the elder players rudeness and stupidity.
And the thing is, you really can't do anything to prevent them from being rude, as their own "godliness" prevents them from seeing how rude they are. The only thing I can say about this, is that they, too, were once "n00bz" of the site. And another thing that pops into my head is the thought "were they ever treated the way that they treat me?"
The question is, really, what makes you such an "expert" player on Gaia? The fact that you can get loads of Gaia Cash and Monthly Collectables via stores, parents, or credit cards? Maybe the fact that you can get 200 Balechelor Degree Points on WordBump? The fact that on zOMG you have an ULTRA!MEGA!SUPER-DUPER! rare item? Or is it just the fact you've been on the site for years collecting gold, items, and friends?
Most "n00bz" really aren't all that bad, their just putting their feet in the water, and just getting used to the site and the various things on Gaia.Yes, some "n00bz" are ignorant, but an entire site can't lump all "n00bz" just because of the "n00bz" worst speciemn.
You can't run before you can walk, and you can't walk before you can crawl and sometimes I think the members on this site with UBER!items and oodles of play time need to remember that.
