-- First of all don't panic. It's just an invasion of the undead, no need to flip.
-- Second, don't think you can take them on in what your wearing, dress practically. Remember looking silly is always a winner next to looking disemboweled.
-- Thirdly, find something sharp and hard. There's nothing worse than being surround by zombies and finding, 'Oh my! There's nothing to kill them with!' I recommend a shovel, or some kind of blade. However planks of wood work.
-- Forth, safety really does come in numbers, unless those numbers are in fact zombies. Travel in groups, big enough to help defend yourselves, small enough so you don't lose anyone.
-- Fifth, be inconspicuous! Okay, there are zombies running around trying to kill you, so the last thing you want to do is running around screaming. Might give you away a little bit.
-- Sixth, stick it out. Worst case scenario, they take over the world and your the last human alive. Big whoop. You're scared, alone and probably look like crap. Could be worse, right? They will eventually die of starvation (we hope) and while your thinking your the last person alive, and cleverly hiding there are likely to be many others in the same position.
-- Seventh, make light of the situation. If you start thinking you're going to die. Then you're going to die. Not because 'if you think it, it happens' but because negative emotions create negative action.
-- Eighth, make dark of the situation. No, don't ignore number seven. Don't draw attention to yourself via lights at night.
-- Ninth, make sure wherever you're hiding out has plenty of supplies. Its all well and good trying to stick it out and wait for them to die, if you die in the process.
