-Why Homework Should Be Outlawed
1.) We live in a democracy right, where we have freedom right? We're entitled to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. How can we pursue happiness if we have to spend each night doing homework?
2.) Homework is a cruel, totalitarian punishment created by grown-ups to take away freedom from poor, defenseless children.
3.) Nobody has ever saved a life, won a war, stopped a crime, or cured a disease while doing homework. Think of all the good things we could be accomplishing if we didn't spend so much time on HW.
4.) Nasty side effects of doing HW causes eyestrain, fatigue, insomnia, carpal tunnel, and other physical ailments.
5.) Thomas Edison never did HW, yet look at his accomplishments.
6.) There is a name for being forced to do something without getting paid. It's called slavery, and it was banned long ago during the Civil War. If they force us to do homework, we should get paid for it.
7.) Doing HW wastes valuable natural resources. We consume more pencils and paper doing HW. Our lightbulbs even run longer.
8.) Kids these days keep growing fatter. Maybe its because they don't get enough exercise. If they didn't spend so much time doing homework and instead going out to exercise they would'nt be so obese.
9.) After a hard day at school we should relax. Instead they give us homework which overloads our minds, causing great strain to the brain (Maybe thats why our brains don't function as well).
10.) Homework is a proof of teacher incompetence. If a teacher is any good we would learn the stuff in class without reviewing it over at home.
11.) Homework is just a waste of free time. It's like washing your clothes when it's already washed or eating lunch when you already ate, since you already learned it in school...
