Shinra Kenji
Samurai Spirit:
At the end of the Bakumatsu, the final years of the Edo Era and the Tokugawa Shogunate, a spirit rose. A samurai whom had fallen, trying to protect those dear to him as he placed his ideals on his blade... Now, with no war left and nobody to return to, the spirit wandered...
"It's so lonely, being a spirit..." Kenji said to himself as he wandered around Tokyo, "Nobody can see you and you're always alone... Not just that, the most random samurai enemies return to try and exact revenge on me even though I'm already dead..." As he continued to walk, he noticed several men whom he had fought alongside. Totally forgetting the fact that he was already dead, he shouted out, "Yahiko! Yamamoto!" As they failed to notice him, Kenji lowedred his head, ashamed of his predicament as he continued to mumble to himself, "Even worst is the fact that I have no way of passing on. Having no where else to head off to, Kenji went off to the nearest temple to pray for his passing on. Walking up the long flight of stairs and through the temple gates, Kenji suddenly tripped on a rock. Falling to the ground, with a thud, Kenji moaned in pain, "Ow that hurt..." Realizing what he had just said, he stood up and looked around confused, "That... hurt..." Touching a nearby tree, Kenji realized that he was a physical being again as he cried out, "I'm alive!"
