21st Day Update
Hi to anyone who stumbles upon this journal log. I said "log" huh huh. Now I've officially been playing this for 3 weeks, and I haven't quite made it to all areas in the zOMG map yet. I've tried to make my presence known through the world by posting comments and voting on homes, writings, and artwork. Strangely though, in three weeks, I have yet to meet more than one person who was actually worth trying to befriend in this game! At any given time, there's at least thirty thousand people logged into this game... so you do the math. I've had to run across about a thousand people in zOMG, but out of thousand, I've met one decent person, so the ratio would be 1:1000. Theoretically then, as I write this, there are thirty-five thousand people, and I might stand talking to thirty-five of them... those aren't exactly the best odds in the world.
As of right now, my CL is growing closer to 4.0 (first time I've ever had a 4.0 in anything, outside of the size of an engine in a vehicle) and I plan on putting a daily effort into getting closer to that goal. I'm really hoping, for now at least, that I can attempt to advance anywhere from 0.5 to 1.0 CL gain a week. Right now, I'm having a tiny struggle in the Zen Gardens taking on those darn Drums that seem to attack you in a group, but occasionally I can get the upper hand on them! I was attempting to do the Doll boss fight in the Gardens, but I made it all the way to the end to get my head handed to me pretty fast. I made a little impact on it's health bar, but overall I didn't stand much of a chance at beating it. It's not really that I don't like to crew up to fight a boss (as that's the only way I was beating OMGWTF), but typically in so many MMO's, people stink in a group. Out of the three groups I've been in so far, only one of them has really worked out in a fight, but that called for recasting at least two or three times. People don't seem dedicated to helping out an actual group and only want to work towards their own individual survival... and that's a sad statement in an MMO. Obviously I'll need to crew to get the drop on the Doll boss, and I might have something to say about that in the next entry.
