My first post on my new account. Cool.
Well, memorial day. A time to remember the troop, pay our respects, and eat/drink/be merry.
The town I live in has an annual Memorial Day picnic. The folks from my family and the rest of the Fire Department get together and do the aforementioned list of things to do on memorial day.
Nothing of true interest went on, except for an epic battle of father and son. My father challenged me to a one on one tug of war, and I all to eagerly accepted.
A two minute struggle was underway, no one competitor gaining advantage over the other. Unfortunately, my will was not as strong, and I had to concede.
I learned one thing. I have not yet beaten my father, but I have brought him to his knees out of sheer exhaustion. And that's a victory in and of itself.
