Maria just stared blankly at the scene that rested in front of her. Her heart was speeding up as each second passed by and sweat poured from the girl's forehead. What had she done? She knew she had problems, the counselor had told her she had problems, but never would her mind have imagined she would have gone this far. Maybe it was just an act upon the moment, like so many have. Surely they wouldn't blame her for what she did, since it wasn't really her fault.
The girl stumbled back as the colored liquid started to seeped into her shoes. Her mouth opened to let out a shreik, but quickly
slammed shut at the realization that it would draw attention towards herself and that was the last thing she wanted.
"Maria!" A voice called out, it was getting closer to the house...
The girl's heart stopped mid-beat. What would she do? Maybe she could just get rid of him like she did Ella and then get rid of herself, that way no one will be a witness...
She softly pulled the knife out of the limp body and placed the tip at the side of her right knee and drug it up, piercing the skin deeper and deeper as it trailed upward towards her torso. Her lip pierced her bottom lip, causing blood to ooze from it as pain shot throughout her body, begging, crying for her to scream out. Once the cut made it to her hip, she fell down onto her hands and knees, blood flowing off of the gentle white tiles onto her pale skin. Maria's body trembled, she waited for who ever the voice that had called her to come into the kitchen so she could get rid of them also. Her mind pleaded for her to just run and not kill another human, but her heart seemed to enjoy the rush and thrill of it.
"Maria?" The voice called again, this time from the living room, which was connected directly through the kitchen. All the person had ot do was open the door and run away before Maria could make it to them to let them join Ella on the floor.
Maria sat, criss-cross on the floor, the knife gripped tightly in her hand. Her pale eyes refused to leave the door that led to the living room, due to the chance of them just cracking it open and leaving, knowing she killed her...
"Maria?" The door flung open and Matt stared, open-mouthed and wide-eyed at the mess.
"Happy Mother's Day," She sung, standing up. Her mouth parted slightly and let out a soft chuckle as Matt fell down and started to scoot out of the room.
"M-Maria, what the hell..." He mumbled, attempting to stand back up.
Maria stepped over the body, but seemed to break the coolness she had managed to obtain. Tears ran down her cheeks and the edges of her mouth quivered. Her light blue t-shirt and white pajama shorts were soaked in blood from herself and Ella. Her right eye seemed to refuse to open and was already caked in dry blood.
The boy stood up and glanced back towards the door, but don't run, "Look, put the knife down, on the counter, and I'll help you get rid of this..."
She smiled and set the weapon on the clean counter, but a rown reappeared once she had walked back away from the knife, "How can we clean this up and not get caught?"
"Well, you kind of didn't consider the reasonings behind not making a mess during murder, but the only thing we can do is clean you up and get our asses out of here before anyone else comes and sees, but you cannot think we will be on the run forever. No one can run forever."
"O-Okay..." The girl mumbled, "I just want to get away...for now..."
"Alright then," Matt thought for a second before continueing, "Walk over to where I am and take your shirt off and wrap it around your thigh then step out of your shoes and into the living room."
Her cheeks turned a pale pink at the idea of having no shirt on in front of her childhood friend.
"Do you want to get out of here?" He growled, surprisingly keeping calm.
