Butterfly

My heart beat speeds along,
cool smooth hands caress my sides
body shakes and mind races.
What could this be?
A love like no other,
my heart skips a beat
breathing comes quickly
my world spins uncontrollably.
Her head presses against my chest
and words form slowly from her lips,
I love you.
My heart swells with joy
my hands weave through her hair,
There could be no stronger love than this.
A love for her,
my love for her,
love for my butterfly.
My eyes tear open,
the heart inside crumbles,
falls apart and drops.
Nothing but lonliness without her,
only when I'm near her,
only when I hold her.
That is when all stress melts,
all memories forgotten,
for her,
my love,
my butterfly.
