Its over!!! *sobs* no more faire till next June/July. crying crying crying

It rocked. It was amazing. It changed my life. And I cant wait till next year. Hopefully, I'll get to go back and do it all again. I miss it already.

Recap of day.

Opening gate- rocked. Marty/ French duke actually had a good line for his part. (he's supposed to have a new romantic line every weekend- didnt always happen...) Was windy as hell. I missed the dancing cause I was talking to regulars. Damn.

Parade- I walked with Lady Lizzie. She made it to last day. Shes 11, and the girl wears a full noble womans gown, corset, hoops, and all. She rocks beyond all measure.

Joust- the knights we're boring. I think they were to cold to joust well. I gave Danielle my teddy bear to keep her quiet. (shes 6 and shes there every weekend with her parents, who play German nobles.)

Queen duty- We sat around and ate cake. xd It was awesome.

Dance show- We did all of our dances. Including- Lady Gen's, Mari's Wedding, Roughty Toufty, Female Saylor, Queens Jig, Gathering Peicecods, Beginning of the World, Catch the Wind, The turn and spurn dance (cant think of the name.. ), Cumberland Reel, and I cant remember the rest. There was one or two more. Then we danced our own maypole. It was amazing. Freaking Amazing. It went perfect. Then we grabbed our ribbons back, and unwove the whole thing, dancing it backward. We dropped the ribbons and let them blow in the (rather feirce) wind. It made us all cry to see them there, like that. We always kept them tied up before that.

Rest of the day was spent acting and shopping. I was supposed to go to court revels but ending up leaving to go buy a muff as I couldnt feel my hands. It was COLD. Like 40. As a High. Got in some talking with my favorite regulars, went on a ride with Danielle, and had a few final bits with friends.

Cried like a baby at gauntlet cause Kelly hugged me. We sang a few pirate songs, and I mean we ALL sang them. It was amazing. When they came out to tell us we could go, we all stayed and sang one more song. Another pirate song, of course. What else does one sing at Gauntlet?

All in all, the day was beyond amazing, if freaking cold. I laughed, I cried, I danced, I acted. Then I turned and drove away from my home of the past 4 months, and left the family that these people had become for me.

It needs to be next June.
