Okay, I love this book! Its called 'Rodzina' by...I forgot. She writes some other great books, like 'Catherine Called Birdy' and 'The Midwifes Apprentice'. Its about this girl named, well, Rodzina. But her parents died and she goes to an orphan train. An orphan train is where people gather up a bunch of orphans and give them to people who want kids. But some of the people want slaves or wives, and she has to dodge those people. And the person running the orphan train are mean, and the girl docter who is taking care of them just doesn't seem to care about them. This is a really great book that everyone should read.
