Prolude (or however you spell it)~
From the northern corner of the world came the loud sound that not many understood, a bright light shown in the night, even to cover the eyes would not sheild them from the light. When Gorgon looked up at the sound he knew instantly what it ment. Life had been shortened for the northern territories, he knew that his family and the family of his army were gone. How he knew he didn't quite yet know...

Chapter One~
Gorgon woke in the early dawning, the stars where still out and his mate lay still next to him lightly breathing. He looked over at her and watched as she breathed, her sandy hair fell slightly over a white cheek, he pushed it aside and kelt to kiss the bare skin. Smiling to himself he rose to dress. First went the leather padding of his tunic, mail was laid across the top of his shoulder to mold down his chest and around his sides to his back. Leather padding slacks went on next, mail was fastened to his hips and to the top of his knees. Each legging of mail was fastened in the back, giving him some movement, unfortunely it left his knee bare if he bent down, for his sheen gaurds covered the most of it as he stood. His boots were the last to go on, no protection for his feet other than the thick leather paddings. The lining of the boot was a thick fur, this would keep the blood from making his feet slip in his boot if he was injuried. When he was finished dressing he clasped his sword and sheath to his side and looked around his hut one last time. His children small and quite had watched him from their cubby smiled at him and mouthed the goodbye lucks and hid back behind the hide that was used for privacy. He gave one last glance at his mate, sighing and wish they all could come with him. But this was a mission that needed speed and efficenancy. They needed the help of the southern territories in order to save humanity. Time was running out, and it was not safe for his family to accompany him. Fearing for the worst he prayed to the northern gods to watch over his family and the tribe that was going to be left behind.
