The blood seeped through her fingers as they clutch the throbbing heart. The pain would set in soon but for now it nothing would distract from the horrid vision before her. She had trusted in the face before her, whispered secrets of her shadows, the dark places that to others she would not admit exist behind the silent smiles. It didn't matter now, none of the words whispered mattered now. She'd never trust again. The piercing ache set in and her face twisted in agony her knees buckled and the heart pulsed once more before falling from its owners hand.
