What was happening...?

User ImageThe world, it seemed to be crumbling. Falling to pieces left and right. Everything was coming to an end. It was cataclysmic, catastrophic, destruction. And all he could do was keep running. But what was he running for? What little was left except for his own life. His home was swallowed into the earth, taking his family and love of his life with it. He had only survived because he had gone to the grocery store moments before. He returned and watched his house horrifically be destroyed. He couldn't have saved them, even if he had tried.

And so now he ran, cracks in the ground were forming behind him. He didn't know what was happening, and he wasn't so sure he wanted to. Maybe he should just stop. Let it consume him too. No, he had to live. Keep them alive too, in his memory and in his heart.

And so he kept running. 'Run from the disaster. Run until you're safe,' he told himself. As he ran, he stared ahead in disbelief. Before him was a cliff end. Was this it? All of his determination for nothing? This couldn't be. He had to live. There had to be some other way. But there wasn't and he knew it.

All of a sudden, something inside of him told him to jump. He felt a comforting warmth, telling him that this would be ok. He wouldn't need to fear the leap. And, he didn't know why, he trusted the feeling. He trusted it more than anything in the world.

He reached the edge of the cliff and leaped off. He stretched his arms and legs out and clenched his eyes tight as he began to fall ... upwards? He snapped his eyes back opened and looked around, panicking. He twisted and turned, trashing his arms all about. He rocketed towards the sky, harsh winds throwing and twisting him around. They circled his body so fiercely parts of skin began to rip off, leaving small bloody patches. He screamed in pain and terror. Looking at the direction he was headed, he knew that he was in for double whopping world of pain.

A big, black cumulonimbus hung in his direction. He flew into the cloud, all the air in his body felt as if it had been sucked out and he began to become electrocuted in very which way. His skin burnt. No, more than burnt. His skin was charred. He had no idea how he was still alive.

Then, as he thought he could feel more pain, everything stopped. He fell to the ground. His body now too weak to move and the ground was rapidly approaching him. He closed his eyes and waited for the harsh impact with the ground to end his accursed misery.

He felt air swirl around his body again. Looking around, he appeared to be in the exact middle of a tornado, but was not moved by it at all. He closed his eyes, no longer caring.

He smashed into the ground, unconcious, with a huge shockwave of wind shaking trees and plant life all around him for nearly a quarter of a mile's radius. His body lay in the grass that was around him, perfectly back to normal, not a scratch or burn on him. He looked perfectly normal, even his clothes. His head tilted to the side, eyes shut.
