So, upon sitting in my shower, thinking about current events, I got a rather hard slap in the face. I thought to myself, why don't I release my batshit insane opinions and comments onto Gaia?!
This is edition one, so tell me what you think.
Okay, to start off, I thought I'd talk about one of the most important issues to date, and that obviously being the war in Iraq. Going in Iraq at all was a mistake, as most of America -should- realize by now. But, we must admit, Saddam needed to go. He was a brutal, and evil dictator, truly the Hitler of our time. The people of Iraq need, but don’t want us, so we must act as the nanny figure until they want, but don’t need us anymore.
Iraq is an obvious disaster. An example being that a Shiite cult, called the “Soldiers of Heaven” attacked Iraqi troops near Baghdad, and the Iraqi’s only won the bloody battle with help from American Troops, and British Air Bombers. The Iraqi’s are not learning quickly enough to fit the situation at hand, although saying that their military abilities haven’t improved isn’t fair to the Iraqi’s hard work thus far.
But the war is also a disaster in America. As anti-war protests rage on, and pro-war protests combat them, I’m sure that a political civil war has been raging for the last few years. I heard today of a Iraq veteran leading a protest against a bigger anti-war protest today on capital hill, who was spit at, and called every name in the book! He was given a card, saying “get well soon” on it’s front, then when reading the card’s contents, was given so many nasty messages. This was a soldier who lost his leg from the knee down to protect Iraq, and our own safety!
All right, now we move on to Beijing, China, The Forbidden City specifically, home to all Chinese Emperors dating back to 1420, and why? Starbucks wishes to but one of their Café’s into this world treasure, and as if seeing two of them in ever mall in America wasn’t enough? American Capitalism is acting out once again! What’s next? Stone Hedge? The Great Barrier Reef?
Thanks for reading, I might add on more later, as I read and watch more. Got any comments? Post ‘um!
