I'm a literate roleplayer but I haven't had any time lately.

I'm posting to say that I LOVE seeing you use that phrase. It's such a good one.

    Your gaianname rocks, too.

:3
Why thank you!
It is a phrase that should be used more often.
And thank you again!
=D

It shall be our task to re-implant the phrase into the collective mind of modern society, then.

    Are you ready for this?

    =P.

Are you kidding?
Bring. It. On.
whee

The Bees Knees is the bees knees, as phrases go.

I had honestly forgotten about the existence of random events
Until your post.
That's sad.

I see right through you. I know right through you. I feel right through you, I walk right through you.

I know.
D:
I thought they were extinct.

I think I need to draw a comic to mourn the extinct random events.
They were an excellent species.
Whoa.
Inspiration.
That's something I haven't felt all evening.

Yeah I've got a wife in Sheno baby, and one in Cherokee, and the first one says she's got my child but it don't look like me.

Sounds good.
3nodding
I'd like to see it if you do make one.
:'D

I'll have to remember that.
Let's see if I get off my lazy bum, eh?
I hope I do.
After I'm done cleaning my room.

Wait until the dust settles. You live, you learn. You love, you learn. You cry, you learn. You lose, you learn. You bleed, you learn. You scream, you learn.

Sarcasm A La Teenage Pixels Chapter One
“Iruri? Iru, where are you?” Kyoko called into the beginning of the storm. The dark wasn’t helpful. There was that proverb, ‘It is better to light a candle than curse the darkness’ and as she had no candle she cursed the proverb instead. How could she find a black cat in the dead of night when she couldn’t even hear anything beyond the whipping winds of a storm being birthed?

She heard her name being called above the aforementioned whipping winds. It was a familiar voice, though one she hadn’t heard earlier in the day. The girl walked steadily away from the porch and held her forearm before her face in a sad attempt to keep her eyes dry. Her hair, a light green in color and tied back in pigtails with fringe on either side of her face in a non-windy situation, was being blown every which way. Even her superbly green eyes, usually hidden behind thick glasses, seemed rather wet.

“Kyo, are you all right? What are you yelling?” she asked further as she got close enough to hug the frantic female.

Kyoko hugged the woman back, thankful of the support. “I’m trying to find Iruri. He was somewhere out here when the storm started and now I don’t know where he is.”

The green-haired gaian nodded. She knew how much the cats meant to Kyoko. She wasn’t as obsessive as some cat people, but a cat out in this storm was enough to worry even a non-cat lover. Keeping an arm around the girl’s shoulder, the new arriver began to call out as well.

Tears bubbled up to Kyoko’s eyes as she moved from the left of the yard to the right and the front of the yard near the porch to the back. She found no evidence of her lovely black cat. At long last she turned and looked to the other female. “Oh, Kiwi, what if I can’t find him? How will he survive?”

“He will, darling, he will,” Kiwi repeated as she brought the other female close and allowed that white-haired head to rest against her collarbone. “He’ll be fine and so will you.”

Kyoko allowed her tears, full of her anxiety and worry, to fall down her cheeks in salty streams to join the rain. Her companion began to walk slowly back to the house and out of the harsh wetness. They were both shivering as they made their way up the stairs one at a time.

“Who dragged the wet kitty cat in?” a male voice purred from the couch. Kiwi looked up and gave him a very clear but surprisingly kind look—‘she’s going through a lot, don’t hassle her.’ The boy, pink-haired and buck-teethed with a daisy in his hair and tight clothing, nodded appropriately and stood to help the white-haired female to her room.

It was black and white—well contrasted—laced with rainbow; much like the girl herself seemed to be. Her steps were small and unsure as if she was fighting numbness attempting to take over her body. When she was put to sit on her bed she blinked once and stared at the wall across from her bed, unconscious of the puddle she was sure to be creating on her blankets.

“Ash, we’ve got to help her,” Kiwi uttered softly as she looked to the boy. He nodded and stripped the shocked girl of her upper clothes, then replaced them with his dark red sweatshirt and pink scarf. He was quick to remove her other clothing as well, then get her deep beneath her contrasting blankets and sheets. When he looked to Kiwi again there were questions in his eyes.

“Now what? I don’t know if she has hypothermia or what. Shock? I’m not a doctor, just a smart-arsed teen,” he rambled self-consciously. Kiwi shook her head slowly and smiled at him.

“You’ve done well. Could you go get Crow? We came for dinner. She should be in the library.”

The boy nodded and hurried out of the room towards the library—a very popular room in this particular household.

When he was gone Kiwi began to remove her clothing until she was down to simply her underclothes, then slipped into the bed and held on to Kyo tightly. The green-haired female flinched at the sudden cold—the monochromatic female’s skin was icy.

A knock sounded at the door and Kiwi looked up. It was a dark-skinned female with spiky brown hair and grey eyes behind thin, round glasses. Besides her was the long-haired female with green hair.

“Crow, Coral. Kyo here is really, really cold. Could one of you grab some more blankets and hot things while another joins me?” she asked, looking steadily at the two. When she mentioned one staying her eyes strayed to Crow. The other female understood and left to gather some blankets and hot packets.

“Think she’ll be all right like this?” the tall female asked as she removed her clothing. There wasn’t much—her reindeer gear, bra, skirt, and guitars. Soon enough she had hopped into bed and was holding Kyo from the other side, looking over the girl’s snowy head to talk to the other young woman.

“Yeah. It isn’t that serious. She was only out there for a while. I think she shock is making it appear worse.”

“Shock?” Crow asked as she looked down at the white hair and then thin eyelids as they covered kind hazel eyes. “What’s up?”

“Iruri’s outside somewhere and she was looking for him. Couldn’t find him. He’s still out there,” Kiwi answered as she rubbed up and down the girl’s arm.

“s**t,” the other aware female replied eloquently.

“I have blankets and stuff,” Coral’s voice sounded from the doorway. She walked in and began spreading her supplies over the three females. When that was done she handed over a hot water packet and some glove warmers. “Think that’ll do?”

“Yeah, thanks Coral,” Kiwi whispered with a full smile. Coral nodded, returned a small smile, and left the room presumably to do something else.

“I think I’m going to take a snooze,” Crow commented with a nicely-sized yawn. “The warmth is getting to me and it’s niiiiiice.”

Kiwi laughed and nodded, then voiced her agreement and allowed her eyelids to droop and her body become heavy.

Hours later Kyoko began to stir. The other two had long before left the bed to make dinner for the family. The only person in the room with the white-haired girl now was Ash, who was steadily painting his nails and nodding his head to some rockish beat.

“Ugggh,” the girl moaned as she sat up. As the air touched her skin goose bumps formed and she began to shiver from the quick change in temperature; she was quick to lie back down again before propping herself up on an elbow. She looked down at what she was wearing. A smirk quickly formed on her pink lips. “The only way you must have been able to get me to wear this was when I was in shock.”

Ash looked up at that and laughed. “Glad to have you back. Hungry?”

The girl’s stomach replied with a low grumble before she could form words. “Guess so. And is that my Fishin’ Fives you’re listening too?”

“Guilty as charged. I’m also passing gas in your pants. Isn’t that a fun thought?”

“Almost as fun as thinking of you taking them off to let the air back in,” the girl replied candidly as she hopped out of bed. When she looked down she blushed. “Happen to have any other pants of mine that I could actually wear?”

“Sure. I’ll grab a pair from the closet.” He stood and turned around—his chair had been in front of the closet—and picked out a pair of baggy dark jeans. Kyoko caught them in the air when he threw them, then slipped on the crinkly material.

“Throw me my ska shoes?” she questioned further. She barely caught the two shoes that came flying at her head a few seconds later. She didn’t bother tying them and rather just slipped into them so she could leave the room. “Thanks.”

“No prob.”

“Oh. How do I look? I can trust the fashion sense of a gayboy,” she pointed out with a light grin.

“Like a very confused dyke.”

“Then I got exactly what I was going for.”

When the two walked into the living room everyone looked up. It was then that Kyoko noticed it was dark. She had thought that the others had left the lights off in her room simply to keep her asleep. This seemed a bit overly peculiar even for her household, though.

“Why are you all sitting here in the dark?”

“We’re waiting for the Durem Deliverers to come. We were going to make dinner but the power went out and we don’t have enough appliances that work without electricity,” a boy numerous black and red accessories replied. He then went back to watching the ceiling as it was apparently more exciting than sitting there doing nothing.

“Yeah, what he said,” Polleo piped in and rested back against her boyfriend. She looked at him strangely; staring at the ceiling was more exciting than staring at HER? He seemed to get the picture and went back to looking at her shoulder. It was at least an improvement.

“Oh, yuck,” Kyo remarked as she glanced around the room. A shadow caught her eye. “Hey, what’s that? We haven’t developed rat problems since I fell asleep, have we? I don’t believe I want any Rodents of Unusual Size here…”

Ash ventured over to the corner as Kyoko sat down and took up her purple cane. When he ventured back he held a struggling black cat that seemed very eager to be back on the ground and scratching at the rug. “I think I found a straggler,” the boy observed as he batted away the claws that were steadily approaching his face.

“Iruri!” Kyo screeched as she bolted up and took the cat from the boy. The feline admitted defeat and slumped into the female’s grip, tail still flicking gently to remind the others that he would still rather be doing other things than be smothered in attention. There were imaginary RoUSes to hunt.

The female kissed him on the crown and let him hop out of her grip and off down the hall to go into the basement.

“Well, that was a fruitless adventure,” Coral noted with a grin. Ash bumped her in the side with an elbow.

“It certainly wasn’t. Now we get to play Twister in the dark!”
The group of them groaned, but Kyoko replied with the response they all had in mind in a variety of forms.

“Great. We get to twist our bodies into odd geometric figures with an over-eager gayboy in the dark while waiting for the food we’re all ready to dig into. Maybe I should have slept a few more hours?”

She was relieved either way to know where both her cats were and have such great friends to keep her company. Even if they were talking by candlelight and ready to sprain muscles just for the sake of a few good falls and a bundle of laughter.

Sarcasm A La Teenage Pixels, Introduction.
Kyoko groggily made her way down the stairs, working her fingers steadily through her short and unorganized strands of white hair. It was difficult to style it as anything but a duck’s butt, which pleased her since she felt honored to have her hair appear as a bird’s posterior. Above her hair sat a dark ring—a halo—humming with an odd energy that was simultaneously lazy yet poised. When the barely-awake female reached up to fidget with the tight doctor’s band around her forehead, the halo dipped down and zapped her on the hand with that odd energy. The elf snapped her hand away.

“Stop it!” she screeched with the rough, scratchy voice of sleep as she stumbled down the last two steps. She landed in a crouch and stood with her forehead in her hands, defeated, before adjusting her thick-rimmed square glasses. One of her little penguin slippers had fallen down the stairs as she had careened; she jammed her foot back into the nigh-monotone slipper and made her way into the kitchen where she promptly slammed her knee into the door frame. After another harsh yet not crude exclamation she looked up and blinked at the bright, people-filled room.

“Kyo, you’re up!” said a long-haired female. The long hair was grey-tinged and decorated with pretty white clips. The same thick-rimmed glasses and large buck teeth were seen on her face, though her legs were clothed in white stockings rather than worn out biker jeans and suicidal slippers. This girl had light pinkish eyes that lit up as she patted a little yeti at her side; it seemed to blink at each pat. After a few pats the female rushed over and seemed about to hug the new arrival, then stopped and thought better of it.

“Yeah, that’s the whole of it… Shortest nap I’ve ever had and I don’t even know what woke me up,” the white-haired, rather monotone-outfitted female muttered as she scuffled over to a kitchen stool and sat on her tail. With a wince and a yelp she moved the extended, furry part of herself and rested her forehead against the countertop. “Don’t we have breakfast served or something?”

“I’m sure we would if it wasn’t, like, 9:40 at night,” a light voice replied from a corner of the room. A green-haired female wearing a loose sari spoke from the small, two-chaired table in a corner where she sat reading a book. Like the white-haired female, this girl had elven ears and a tail, though hers was a coon tail.

“Seems like an appropriate time for breakfast to me, considering that any other day I have it at two in the morning.”

“Hey, you just wake up?” another voice sounded as a tall female with long, light green hair and an outfit made up of black, green, and white objects or cloth walked into the room.

Kyo rotated her head so that her cheek was against the cool countertop instead. “How’d you guess?”

“Your bra’s on backwards.”

“How’d…?”

“It’s the only top you’re wearing.”

“Oh…” the exhausted female finished with a yawn. A sleek white feline jumped from the floor to the countertop with ease; Kyo couldn’t help but smile at the rippling muscles. The kitten nuzzled the equally white hair and seemed fully content to bug her owner, tired or no.

“Polleo?” the female asked quietly. The grey-haired female that had taken her seat once again with the yeti looked up. “Did you feed Ady while I was zonked out?”

“Yeah, I did,” Polleo replied as she took her sketchbook from the drawer under the counter and then a pencil from a container near where the surface met the wall.

“Where’s Iruri at?” Kyo continued, looking about to see if she could catch a glimpse of glossy black fur or a long tail.

“Iru? He was outside playing in the yard last time I checked. He got in a tiff with Ady here over eating a bug. Isn’t that cute? And by cute I mean disturbing. Yuck. I would never get in a fight with you over eating a bug,” the sketching female babbled.

“That’s because you don’t eat bugs, even as they are nutritious,” the teen with green hair that spiked down and out remarked with a smirk from her table.

“Would you cram it? You don’t eat bugs either,” the other green-haired female, leaning against the counter, shot back.

“Yeah, Cro, what the heck? You were a punk rocker yesterday and now you’re a guru trying to get us to eat bugs? I don’t want you as a sister anymore,” Kyoko said as she flipped around in her stool and instead rested the back of her head where it met her neck on the countertop. Ady seemed to enjoy batting at the dark halo and watching it bound away, then drift back.

“I’m deeply hurt,” the younger female said simply as she stood with a finger marking her place in the book. She started to leave the room then stopped at the entranceway of the dining room. “Oh, by the way, Ash is wearing your jeans again.”

“Ugh!” the now exasperated but still exhausted female groaned as she reached to stroke the kitten’s back. “Can’t he get his own jeans? Or at least steal someone else’s? Every time I wash them he takes them; I was them to get his SMELL out of them!”

“Where’s Tetris?” the now only remaining green-haired female interrupted quietly from where she stood leaning on the counter. “Not that I don’t love the female bonding-over-stolen-jeans thing.”

Kyo looked over at the female as Polleo replied that he was at the store. When the girl was finished, Kyo added, “We would be bonding over it if it ever happened to you. Instead, my jeans are the only ones that get molded to some nice boybutt.”

“We don’t wear pants,” the two others said in unison.

Kyo rolled her eyes and stood up. Turning, she tapped both of her friends on the head with her black and white magician’s wand before sticking it into a pocket of her tight, ripped, and worn out biker jeans. “I hereby send your statement to the Gods of the Pantless in order to preserve your track record of having no jeans stolen and welded onto the thin legs of a gayboy.”

They giggled at that and the short-haired female rubbed her eyes. It was dark out but she wanted to find her ‘little kitty’ who was, in reality, perfectly capable of taking care of himself. She was a loony, yes, but she enjoyed reading to her cats in the same way that Cro was a loon altogether with her attitude, style, and constant state of change. They were just loony sisters.

That was when she heard it—thunder. Maybe that was what had woken her up. It seemed unimportant as she fled from the room and down the steps from the porch the yard, screaming her kitten’s name into the night and being splattered with the newly falling rain in return.

What a night.

Why do you sadistic people torture the innocent?

Why do you lackwit people ask moronic questions?

Out of two options, there is usually a better third option.

How often is that true?

Nearly 100% of the time, with me.

Prisoner's Ball and Chain.
Finished the quest. I'll do one of Kleppy's quests next, then tackle some of the ones that are actually in my wishlist.

For now, though, I'm off to rest and read.
