Note: This fan fiction in NO WAY condones botting, or any other activities against the TOS. It is simply an idea I had when I was really bored one evening around ten o’clock.
Also: This story is not based on any true happenings.
ALSOALSO: I don’t think mods are stupid. D; I was just getting into character, kay? SORRY MODS <333

Manipulation.
Kelly smiled to herself as the single word flashed across her mind. She signed into her mule account. Though it was only a recent addition to her legion of other mule accounts, it already had scores of so-called “friends” and admires.
A queen among insects.
She clicked the glowing mail button, and was transported to a sea of fan mail. Once again, her box was filled to the brim with utter nonsense. Users worshipped her avatar, flattering her over-the-top character. Users pleaded with her, begging to be added to her restricted friend list. A few users who, because they knew no better, had comprised foolish letters asking her for items.
Amid the mass of chaos that was her inbox stood a message that caught Kelly’s eye immediately.
She smiled, a soft smile that did not quite reach up to her eyes.
The message had been the result of her latest mission. The fruits of her labor. And boy, were they sweet.
Hey Babe! I just got your trade. OMG. OMG!! I can’t believe you. You are simply DEVINE. I’ve been working at my minis quest for months , and because of you, I have reached that goal so much sooner then expected. I can’t believe you donated all that gold to me! I know we only recently met, but dear, I’m sure we’ll become great friends. You are an amazing person. And we’re so alike! I feel like I’ve known you my whole life (: Pm me back quickly, ‘kay???
Kelly openly laughed out loud this time. A gentle chuckle that hit the ears like a wave of cold.
There is no darkness but ignorance.
Kelly quickly wrote back:
No problem! I was glad to donate to you. Honestly, you deserve it, after working so hard on your quest for that long. And you’re right! I feel like I’ve known you my whole life, too. And thanks <3 Anyways, I have some stuff to do, so I’ll be offline for a bit. But guess what? I have another surprise that will be reaching you pretty soon. Just wait and see. Bye for now <333
Kelly could only imagine her pitiful pal’s reaction to this pm. She would probably be wetting herself with joy. Kelly felt proud of her work. She hadn’t lied once in her message.
If you can control the meaning of words, you can control the people who must see the words.
Kelly signed off of her account. She then signed onto another account, one that served a quite different purpose. She then completed the final stage of her project. She transferred a million or so onto her other account. A million gold, the price to pay to finish her job.
She knew the bot account had been under suspect for a long time. This would surely confirm any suspicions that it was a bot, and that it had been selling gold via E-Bay or some other illegal source. Hopefully, if the moderators weren’t too stupid, they would connect one and one and ban anyone who had been in contact with it.
Kelly closed her eyes, and sat stock still in the completely silent room. She heard the thumping of her heart, and heard the buzzing of the many thoughts that were passing through her mind at that moment.
A year ago, a new student had come to Kelly’s school. She had been funny, light-hearted and carefree. She had made friends with Kelly immediately. A couple of months later, Kelly found herself being snubbed by her old friends. When she confronted them about it, their replies were cold and bitter.
“Don’t try to act all caring now!” “We know what you’ve saying about us!” Why don’t you just stop pretending and go hang out with your new “best friend”, Kelly!”
Kelly felt dishearten and confused. However, she managed to keep going, with the support of her new friend and her boyfriend.
A couple of weeks later Kelly found herself being shunned aside by her once loving boyfriend.
He too had no kind words for Kelly.
“Just stop. Please. I know what you’ve done, what you’re doing. I need someone who can commit to me. Good bye.”
He found his committed partner. A funny, light-hearted and carefree girl.
Kelly now found herself alone, betrayed by one she had been so close to. Bitter and vengeful thoughts filled her mind. She needed revenge for the life she had lost.
She remembered a site that her friend often played. Something called Gaia online. She had never taken much interest in it, preferring the real world. However, she felt she knew it like the back of her hand after the amount of time she had spent talking on the phone with her friend about her separate life. It had seemed to Kelly as though her friend lived and breathed Gaia.
And so, after many forlorn hours, she formed a plan.
Kelly turned off the computer, and watched as the screen slowly faded, leaving her in a pitch black room.
Leaving her in a life where everything was still messed up, and nothing had been solved.
