Nightmares
Not able to sleep at night
the nightmares and demons
dwell in your dreams
always feeling like you need to
look over your shoulder
not having anyone to trust
the feeling of being alone
with no one to turn to
on one to care
If only I could steal your pain
take away the hurt

the goblins of your past
haunt you
they torture you until you cry
and you scream and try
but nothing you do
is going to help you
the only one to help

but how does one let go of
the one they love?
