That's it. That does it. The moderators of Gaia have me reason to speculate Gaia, just like Maplestory and most other online societies that have gotten too big, don't care that much about their members or their grief.
My girlfriend, Raeluna, just today, had her account banned WRONGFULLY, on suspicion, SUSPICION that some one she traded with was a bot or that she herself was botting. She was accused of botting. ACCUSED! That doesn't mean she did! She had to suffer this fate once before when she got hacked by a spiteful ex-friend. The mods caught who had did it, but guess what. She never got any of her items back, among those being several very rare and expensive items, a few of which she had barely managed to get back before she was just recently blocked! So she had to have her very spirit crushed TWICE, TWICE because of a stupid speculation. She actually broke down and cried because instead of doing further investigation, whatever moderator jumped the gun and blocked her. She's had to lose everything twice.
Her friends and perhaps friends of friends are trying their hardest to help her out and perhaps even try and get her back up to speed after having heard of this incident. Its heartwarming, sure, but that won't bring anything back. Who knows what happens to those valuable items in the accounts that moderators wantonly ban or block. Then again, I'm known as an avid pessimist.
Unfortunately, I too have traded once with this other user, and in fear of I myself getting wrongfully banned and losing EVRYTHING I worked so hard to get, everything she ever worked so hard to give to me, I am transferring it to another account.
This is being written as proof, as evidence of the reason for what I'm doing. A will. A way to defend just who I am giving my items and precious collectables ,of which I've spent a fortune giving to Gaia to get, from being blocked or banned as well. Sure, laugh that virtual items are so valuable to me, but they really are. They have sentimental value of those who have given them to me, and the time and effort to acquire them is not something that can be reclaimed. Having said that, I'm now scared. Really scared because I know Raeluna did nothing wrong, and yet she was banned and lost EVERYthing. I feel like there is no accountability now, no law to keep mods from banning and destroying willy-nilly. No justice, no chance to defend yourself, not even a warning.
If anyone choses to read this, I don't expect you to take my word, but only hope they take my side. There's no way I can rightly think of how to end this other than regret putting so much faith in an online community and say that I just may all-out quit because of this. Not like there are many gaians who'd miss me. sweatdrop
Just in case one were to have forgotten the meaning of this entry, understandably so, is to clarify I'm trying to save my items and the items Raeluna had worked so hard to give me from being lost in that void that items go whenever a mod bans some one. Some of which include, but are not limited to, The Kitsune Mask, Ninja Headband, Demonic Pitchfork, Spartan Cloak, Lunar Cloak and Cowl, only to name a few. Yes, she worked her a** off, yes I said "a**", to get those for me, and I'll sooner die than let the sentiments linked to those items vanish.
[edit]No, AquariusNeebit, AKA Ratci, AKA SweingPinsWorkBest, I did not forget you bought me that kitsune mask. I was endeared by it. I remembered when I very first got that item, but do you remember how I had to sell it when its value was a measly 100-200k because we were short on gold. Raeluna, my girlfriend, worked hard to get me that mask back and all those other wishlist items. No, I didn't lie to you, no I'm not lying, it. just. slipped. my. mind. I did not forget the sentimentality of it.
