gonk My first wisdom tooth broke through today, and I didn't think it was bothering me until I realized that I'm in a really bitchy mood. Likely as a result of pain I have yet to notice. And maybe lack of seeing Craig, stupid ******** work, why am I always scheduled completely opposite to him so we never see eachother? Oh and nothing can capture my attention, my stupid ******** greedy mind isn't satisfied with gaia and tv and comics, no it wants to think about moooore! And yet I do not have the means to produce such distractions... >.< *twitch* Oh and I don't know what the ******** but Richter is ignoring me, greatly to my displeasure... >.< And... I have to pick a ******** grad dress still, also greatly to my displeasure, honestly I'd probably be more confident nude than trying to get all dressed up. gonk ok... hopefully done spazzing now...

Who:
Francios "Papa Doc" Duvalier~ Came into power in ' 57 through an election but declared himself president for life in ' 64. His was a reign of terror: Political opponents were executed, population was in a stat of fear, the economy steadily deteriorated, illiteracy remained at 90% His son became president after his death but had no interest in politics and used government money for himself until he was driven away in ' 86
Jean-Bertrand Aristide~ came into office in Feb. ' 91 , his gov't began to clean out a corrupt civil service, enforce tax laws, fight drug trafficking, and to deliver much-needed servces. It seemed he was what Haiti needed. He was thrown out of office 7 months later by the Haitian military. He ran again in 2000 and won with 90% of the vote. In ' 03 Amnesty international accused him of human rights violations. In Jan 04 the opposition called for his resignation, and he was eventaully convinced to do so.
Louis Jodel Chamblain~ currently leads a group of soldiets from the military regime, and previously led the "death squad" accused of killing 1000s of Aristide supporters.
Boniface Alexandre~heads the Haiti interim gov't until elections.
What:
Conflict in Haiti comes from 3 places:
~the disparity between elite French mulatto aristocracy and poor black majority.
~the subjugation of the population by the oft-oppressive military.
~because of its proximity to the US, Haiti often comes under the US's thumb.

MUFFINS!!!! whee I've been spending all of my time lately on school, gaia and seeing Craig with the occasional friend thrown in for variety. Yeah I'm lame. I've also been trying to get a job in this last while, may wind up working at a key cutting and engraving place... xp that'd be interesting. I wish the bookstore would hire me, I love books. heart heart heart Anyhow's I have a personal essay to write and should be bumping my D.TAIL QUEST THREAD!! lmao.. yeah...

I'm sick... what a bummer but eh, it'll pass. And I've decided that y'know I've been on gaia long enough and I'd like to have a wicked item. So now I'm questing for a d.tail. Ooohhh booga booga the toughness of it all!
In my not pixelated life, aside from being sick, I've decided to go to art school after I'm done highschool. I was thinking of becoming an art teacher qualified to teach English as well, that way I can move to germany and teach english as a second language if I get sick of it here. Uh... yeah I have no idea what to say... >.<
