Nothing Happening
And that's how I like it. I've been watching some TV, playing some video games, playing a lot of music, and wasting a ton of time on Gaia. I'm the kind of person that doesn't like to go out every night. I'm perfectly happy to stay home and have a nice chat or read a good book. Speaking of which, I'm probably the last person to jump on the Anne Rice train. I just started reading Interview With the Vampire yesterday. It's pretty gripping so far, so I'm looking forward to the rest of it. I think it's time to start a new musical project. That's exciting. I'll let you know how it turns out later. That is...YOU in the sense of me. Because nobody reads this.

Moving On
Well, forget that last entry, because the woman of my dreams is in the arms of another man. Somehow, though, I don't feel as bad as I thought I would. He's actually a much better choice for her than I am. Hmm, didn't think I'd hear myself say that.
In other news, the new Harry Potter book is rather good. Give it a look.

Melancholy
I've not been in the best state the last couple of days. The woman I love will be out with another man tomorrow night, and the worst thing is, she has no idea how incredibly jealous that makes me. You see, she (as far as I know) doesn't know that I'm madly in love with her. She's moving to Kansas for college in a few months and I'm really starting to feel nervous. If I don't tell her soon, I know she's going to fall in love with somebody at college and marry herself away before I ever say my piece.

At long last, I make a return to Gaia. I'm sure nobody missed me. I very much like the new things I see after my four-month hiatus. The houses are a very cool feature and a great new way to blow a lot of gold. I still see that there isn't much valuable discussion going on in the forums, but I didn't expect much different there. I made a short visit to the Harry Potter forums, as I've been re-reading the books lately. Needless to say, I didn't stick around. People are so adamant about their opinions as to what will happen later in the books. Speculation like that is so ridiculous! None of us know what will happen and it's more fun to wait and see rather than try to figure it out ahead of time. Just enjoy the story.
On a music note, I'd like to recommend Mae's new album, "The Everglow." It's beautiful. It's so good to see rock bands who can successfuly implement beautiful and moving piano lines into their work.
Have a lovely day, folks.

Nice Work
This is a long overdue update. Nobody's reading it, just as I suspected. Oh well. School in the morning, not what I had in mind. I'd rather not be going, but we've all got to roll our sleeves up and hit that grindstone, eh? I'd rather sit on a porch and strum a guitar all day. Wishful thinking, but beautiful thinking nonetheless. I'm listening to a great Hey Mercedes song. It's called "Bells," and it rocks my world. I just bought the new CD by the Black Keys, called "Rubber Factory." It's the best CD I've heard since "Elephant," methinks. Go buy it as soon as you get your allowance, kids. I don't think you'll regret the purchase. Who's heard of the Boomtown Rats? "I Don't Like Mondays" is the anthem of a generation. One of these days, I'm going to write a musical based around the songs of Ben Folds and his Five (three). There's no reason for me to continue here, is there? Peace.

White Shirts
Whenever I wear a white shirt, I'll spill some sort of beverage on it without noticing. It's almost a given. Usually, it's a leaky cup or something and I'm not to blame! Does this happen to anybody else? Do liquids just have it out for me, or am I subconsciously perpetrating a trend here? These are all questions to ponder post midnight. I really don't feel like going to church in the morning. That's not a good thing. I had gotten into a pattern of enjoying church lately, but missing last week while I was out of town seems to have broken my mood. I'm not feeling anti-religious or anything, I just don't have the motivation to get up early and listen to a sermon in which I won't learn any new information. Pastors need to get on the ball and start teaching some truly insightful sermons. That would make church a lot more interesting. I'll leave all you pastors out there with that thought and bid you a fond good night.

The Beginning
It's always been a challenge for me to write in a daily journal, so this will be discipline! Putting constraints upon yourself is important for developing your character and resolve. I'm not sure if anybody will ever read this, but I'll just keep writing, I suppose. The act of writing something out is a good release.

People show their blindness and unwillingness to accept reality more and more every day. After watching the presidential debates last night, I was anxious to hear what people thought and who would be declared the winner. Much to my surprise, many people honestly thought that John Kerry showed President Bush up and outdebated him. I really thought that Kerry was straggling for arguments. Some commentators said that Kerry solidified his platform on foreign policy, but all I heard him do was tear apart the Bush administration. He did say that he would open bilateral talks with North Korea, which I think is a mistake. He makes alliances such a huge business, but he will make it a point to disintegrate the talks with China and the other countries putting pressure on Korea. Does that make sense to you? And another good point Bush made was that other countries aren't going to open discussions with a president who denegrates the contribution of participating allies. Kerry almost made a point of snubbing Poland outright. That doesn't seem very cordial or diplomatic to me. I really want to know just how Kerry plans on getting our allies involved. I distinctly remember Bush going to the U.N. and to our ally countries and being turned down by many of them from the get-go. What makes Kerry think that they'll be jumping at the chance to join us now? If he could convince them, well then more power to him, but I just don't think it's a very feasible goal. Well, that's enough political ranting for now. I'll just hold my horses until next week's debate. The last debate is actually going to be in Phoenix, just a hop skip and a jump from my hometown of Tucson, but I didn't get tickets and they're sure to be long sold out by now. Oh well. Thanks for reading! Slainte!
