Full plot- Tetsuya in a nomad in the area who takes on odd jobs from bounties to mercenary work when necessary due to depleted funds during his travels. Prefers to avoid cities unless necessary for work or resupply.
He takes the bounty for the black market traders who were holding Kaloh captive. Tetsu's moral code won't let him leave the moody little beasty stranded so he sets him free before taking the traders into custody for his reward.

Only Kaloh has other ideas and demands this human help him find his way home. Kaloh has a rather haughty demeanor as the young princeling of the Valu unfortunately spoiled his whole life he doesn't really take no for an answer.

The Valu are a rather unique race of draconian lacking wings unlike most or their fellow brethren. This made them easier to capture and hunt throughout history until they wised up and moved to better terrain. In the last century or so what's left of this small populace has scattered over the continent creating various small tribes high up in the mountain terrain surrounded by cloud forests * for better camouflage.

Kaloh happens to be captured by a lowly hunter's trap on the outskirts of one such forest much to the pleasure and misfortune of this man who thought the God's were finally shining some favor his way. Needless to say this man would be found many days later just outside of town dead while the perps ran off with their feisty fire breathing prize.

Tetsuya in general is not a social person so when he comes across this rude ungrateful little fire breather incessantly demanding he help him find his way home without so much as a thank you for the help prior. Nerves are sure to be worn down and morals tested. Kaloh in contrast has little respect and holds a far mount of spite for the human race in general after being so roughly treated and taken from his home. However, he sees a potentially reliable ally in Tetsu as the man didn't seem to have any intention to sell him off somewhere and seemed rather capable of defending himself and others around him if necessary.

Needless to say the relationship starts off on the wrong track completely and Tetsuya agrees reluctantly to help the little beastie only for the sake of some peace and quiet. His morals also won't allow him to leave the helpless brat alone to get recaptured and toted around for the highest bidder to be found.

Where do you start with miles of forest all around? Traveling with a clueless guide who's never been outside of the secluded haven he calls home and enemies all around gunning for your life just to get the annoying little beastie at your side. Stakes are high when the road to easy street is walking beside you and greed makes even murder seem like a good idea where money is concerned.

What was supposed to be an easy job just got way more complicated let the journey begin.



*A cloud forest, also called a fog forest, is a generally tropical or subtropical, evergreen, montane, moist forest characterized by a persistent, frequent or seasonal low-level cloud cover, usually at the canopy level. Cloud forests often exhibit an abundance of mosses covering the ground and vegetation, in which case they are also referred to as mossy forests. Mossy forests usually develop on the saddles of mountains, where moisture introduced by settling clouds is more effectively retained.
