Minatori Chronicles : Book One
Chapter II : Family Values

In a schoolyard on a cloudy, dark day, two boys were seen fighting each other. One boy wearing a black robe with the hood up was quickly pushed to the ground and other boy pinned him.
"Stop being stupid Hisaka, you'll never beat me, you will always be weaker than your big brother!"
The older boy said, the other children grouping around them and laughing at the defeated crimson-haired boy in the robe. Quickly a young looking lady appeared outside the circle of children, pushing her way through them.
"Not again...come with me Hisaka.
She commanded, pulling the unwilling boy by the sleeve of his black robe and into the one room school building.
"Sit down."
The teacher ordered, pointing at a desk in the front row, Hisaka reluctantly walked to the front and sat down, looking away from her. She approached him and removed his hood, a large burn mark on the boy's left cheek. The teacher shook her head and sighed as the boy reluctantly looked her in the eyes with his deep indigo ones.

The teacher said, crossing her arms and leaving the boy to his own designs, and watching the other children play. Hisaka watched her leave and waited until the door shut. In an instant, the boy shot up and walked up to the board, grabbing a ruler and moving to where he wasn't visible through the window. Then the boy began swinging the ruler around like a sword, imagining he was a great warrior like his father. After a few minutes of this vigorous activity, beads of sweat rolled down his pale skin. The bell rang and he quickly put the ruler down, and retreated to his desk near the back of the classroom. A couple of seconds later, students poured into the classroom and took their seats.
