omg saw Beirut yesterday... free gig which made it even more amazing!

Joanna Newsom
i discovered again how amazing her album 'The Milk-Eyed Mender' is
i cant stop listening to it lol, i converted one of my friends into liking her but everyone else just thinks its strange.
she has a very unique style and once you get past her rather bizzare voice you'll fall in love with her heart warming lyrics
atm i really like the songs ' Clam, Crab,Cockle,Cowrie' and 'The Book Of Right-on'
but my fav song on the album has to be 'Peach, Plum,Pear'
and as you can tell she likes to sing about fruit and veg lol xd

PATRICK WOLF
In love with him and his music!
he has a beautiful voice and music is so thick, there are so many instruments and layers yet it doesn't sound cluttered or over the top. alot of his lyrics are very personal and emotional, i've even cryed when listening to some his songs (very emo of me i know)
atm i only have his latest album- 'the magic position' which is awesome, but i can't stop watching the videos for 'Tristan' and 'Wind in the wires'
his other two albums 'Lycanthropy' and 'Wind in the wires' are also both amazing,
most of his 1st album he wrote when he was 15 which you might think would suck but he is pure musical talent!
I saw him at London Astoria and he is even better live, even though the supports totally sucked!
i'm trying to brainwash my friends into believing how amazing he is but i don't think its working lol
