so i was a bit board today and going through some old saved content on webpages found a old fanfiction that was not lost to server deletion Its fanfiction for online game Shatterd Galaxy XENO- IGNUS By Schlaghund ((Timeline reference– before destruction of Geode)) Once again, the four suns raised high in the sky over the war torn planet of old earth that was ripped from its origins so many years ago to be united with this desolate planet. Battles raging on back and forth for the gathering of resources and control of area. Today we take a look at the other side of life, into the politics of the Terminus Corporation. As usual Terminus was up to something. Today, being no different, Mr. Black was making his usual rounds, and seeing that the people were finally getting used to the normal organic growth and life of all organisms, it was time to experiment again. Always having a problem with the HRFO (Humane Rights For Organic) organization, experiments were normally delayed and bad public image was brought unto the Terminus corporation. But today that would end. After winning support of the citizen rally in the Argus Town Square yesterday over the HRFO, Terminus has the go ahead with its biological development and implant process. Hiring posters and ads were set up in the capitals offering vast pay for experienced surgeons and medics able to help in the experiments that were about to be set forth within the building. Knowing that people would be openly accepted those that were opposed to Terminus saw this as a great opportunity to infiltrate the corporation and learn what really goes beyond closed doors, and they bought media coverage. Day 25: After reviewing all applications, those accepted were transported to Caldice, Terminus’ main HQ and debriefing HQ. The hall was packed from members of all factions: some sought to become wealthy working for terminus, others just seeking refuge from the constant battling. Few were news reporters and of course some members from the HRFO just to cause confrontation and make sure aliens were treated with the kind respect they deserved. We apologize to everyone today, but Mr. Black will not be able to introduce himself to you all, but let me go over our reports of what has been happening. As you all know, with the recent solar flares more and more strange new aliens have begun to appear, and new never discovered breeds have been spotted. We have captured a few, and with the help of you we are going to examine and dissect them, to find their nerve core so that commanders may, using the current mindlink setup, be able to control and use in battle. There will be three divisions setup: Division 1 will be the collection, using vehicles to enter alien territory and snare the organic species we are about to be studying. Division 2 will be involved with data analysis and reports providing pictures and accurate transcription of what is being done in operating and med. labs during operations. Division 3 is going to be broken into 2 areas, first being dissection, the other being implants. Before you sign up for your desired division, I would like to tell everyone that anyone found tampering, spying, or leaking information will be tortured in the most horrible of ways. From acid dripping onto the flesh, to being gnawed by the Crosse sandstorm winds outside, and then being exposed to aliens that have not eaten in months. If you would like to take this time to leave, I advise to do so. A few people leave the room. That being concluded is there any questions anyone would like to ask. Yes, excuse me, a man raises up in the fourth row back wearing a black war torn suit with tatters everywhere. These aliens that we are about to go after, have you transcribed names yet or do the researchers get to name them? Laughter echoes throughout. Speaker “I’m sorry I’m not involved with the R&D of the divisions within where you will be working. All I know is that the evolutionary scale of aliens is threefold, and in one case fourfold. The divisions will, I’m sure, have fun learning about our new carapace and exo-skeleton implementation.” Silence falls over the crowd, everyone is kind of nervous knowing once you enter though the gates of Terminus, you never return. Division 1 It has been 2 weeks since we started. We have been given our own company shuttle and are going from planet to planet researching the caves and lands. The drop vehicles they provide us with have some sort of infiltration system on it, and the aliens think it is friendly, allowing us to get close enough to study/examine them. Today we hit Tho, rumor has it that this is where our 4 stage alien is the head of division using the basic of names once we encountered it, of the Xeno- Ignus alien group: Oizys/Boreas/Eris/Lyssa. The evolution that tied this creature to its bonds was rather weird though. Oizys was that of a larva with the head of a 2nd evolution Slanth, or Crudgin, fast and agile, using magma hot breath to attack other aliens, and to feed itself. They normally flew in packs and would attack each other continuously gaining strength. We got to see something the third day, and believe it is why these creatures may just have 4 stages and a higher evolution then the rest of the aliens that normal commanders use. It was routine: the Oizys would fly over, one would stop to look at us, another would bash into it, and they would start squabbling spewing hot magma at each other. This time it went a little further, with growth into the next evolution during mid flight after the attacking had begun. The Oizys, having enough of this insolent Oizys that has hit him instead of spewing fire at the other, launched a straight attack, and sunk its mouth into this victim, and drained its power as well as devouring the exoskeleton and flesh of the previous Oizys. After it bit, the magma from its mouth, which must be triggered upon opening, soaked through the other and a gaseous barrier engulfed the first, after much screaming and twitching a dull green light shone forth from the Oizys and it started it metamorphoses. Boreas was what our team leader called this particular morph. Totally more pumped than Oizys, it now took the shape of the Crudgin, but instead of legs it maintained its wings. The other Oizys backed off, almost as if to run away, but they could not run in time. Just like the Crudgin it launched a range attack, but due to the nature of Oizys, they stayed in a group, and the attack hit all of them, and sent them burning to the ground in a pile of molten green ooze. Then something unexpected happened; DDT, who was outside at the time recording the events, forgot that only the vehicle had the properties of infiltration. The Boreas suddenly swooped down and in front of him, standing less then a foot away. It glared DDT straight in the face, then arched its head upwards and with a mighty bellow called out a sound which up to this point no one had heard. It was like a hollow scream starting low mid range and ending high ((erukk)), it belched out two maybe three times. This is when we saw them. The next two evolutions or so we figured. The social life of the Xeno- Ignus family was that which, needless to say, was far different then that of the Oizys, though of the same group, they took a different trait: they were curious, but kept investigating. Perhaps because it was the first time they had ever seen something other then the infil vehicles on this planet and commanders with war mechs. From the back of the pack two new aliens arrived, the Boreas made way for them to travel with wingspans of 8 feet across, it was unbelievable, Eris, god of flight, swift and with a body that no longer resembled a Crudgin. Its breast area covered in muscle and strengthened from many hours of flying. The next alien that proceeded our officer named Lyssa, Grandfather of the air. Its body that of an ancient dragon, with feet to land and stand among the ground, its wings old and withered from many battles as well as ripped. This was when the social structure of the group really took place. Like that in a normal society it was helped to where it was going, guarded by the young Eris, and the Boreas was keeping an eye out, to further make sure no harm came to it. Respect within one family of aliens, it was really interesting. DDT, still outside and frozen to his tracks, experiencing first hands the Lyssa slowly descending upon him. Thoughts raced though his head, family, children, why he took this job, the feel of commanding units upon a battlefield, and finally fright. An emotion lost long ago when we first landed on this planet, despair and hate was all that one felt now. The Lyssa finally landed and standing next to DDT nudged him with his snout. DDT, totally surprised, fell over and then assumed the suprone position, trying to protect himself. The Lyssa just stood there waiting for DDT to stand up. Finally, after the moments of fear had passed, DDT stood up and gently touched the Lyssa standing before him, not sure what to think - knowing that any wrong move would have him killed by the surrounding aliens. Why did the Lyssa come here? Was it not afraid of death? We had invaded their lands, and yet they did not share any of our hatred. Was it wrong to go on with the experiments we were about to inflict upon them? DDT, taking his hand away, accidentally brushed an old war wound upon the Lyssa chest and saw the mark of battle. Something. Some type of alien had done this. An area, all in acid, but the size of it was HUGE. Up until this point, the only thing that even did close to this damage was a miasmal, but they were only found in the crater of Morgana. What was one doing on Planet Tho? DDT, now finally able to talk, asked for one of us to come out and bring medical supplies. “We are not medical personal DDT, what are you doing?”, Schlaghund replied over the radio. “Just do what I tell you god dammit.” Taking a vote inside the truck, “Great! I lost! Why in god’s name are we picking straws? This is no god damn game! ******.” Schlag, thinking to himself… “Well here goes…” exited the vehicle, all attention was turned away from DDT when a 2nd human entered the atmosphere of the Aliens. Bringing the kit to the Lyssa, a basic medkit from a medic but could it be triggered to work on these aliens like it did on our units and infantry. What caused this damage to make aliens want to team up with the humans or, for that fact… trust us? And once we helped it what was saying it wouldn't kill us. DDT and I prepared to operate slowly. Placing a hand on the Lyssa to let it know everything was ok, we turned on the device to slowly cleanse and cauterize the wound from which it had been suffering from. I took out a serge knife, one of the ghasts earlier weapons that never made into production but worked great for medical purposes due to its length and cutting accuracy. The knife burned through the py carcass that was infected with unknown alien germs and dirt from the local land, it had to be 3-4 months old but still ate away at the carapace of its victim. There was only going to be so much we could do for this poor Lyssa. A few Oizys had passed by overhead while the Lyssa was screaming as the knife surged through the wound letting the scab fall to the ground to enable us to clean and care for the wound. It was still a funny sight, as the Boreas in the middle of the group just took one look and shot balls of acid, like target practice, at them. Why, with all other aliens in this area, does this group prey upon its youngest? The strongest of the strong survive… but it made no sense. After we had cleansed the wound and applied bandaging, we were left with more questions then we had answers. Needing to get word back to Terminus, we took out a sat COM unit and set it up. The aliens, all still in awe as humans were on their soils in peace, watched. “Unit 345Ut reporting in from Tho.” “Yes, 345Ut, this is Caldice HQ what do you have to report.” “We have come across the Xeno- Ignus alien group, but there is something you need to pass on to Mr.Black, I believe it’s of his utmost interest to see this video. We’ll send it now and wait for further instructions. 2 members of our Team are actually treating one of the alien’s wounds. And whats worse, it looks as if there may be miasmal on this planet too.” Caldice HQ “That’s near impossible! They are confined to Morgana” “We know, but the wound on the Lyssa…” HQ “Lyssa?” “It’s the officers naming scheme, don’t ask me. Anyways, the top evolution of the Xeno- Ignus group seems to be so afraid of the miasmal, that it has brought aliens to us to seemingly seek protection. We need to investigate this further.” HQ “We will get the information to Mr.Black. Be careful, and why not setup a transporter? Lets get those aliens over to Kamanas Facility.” “That may be a problem, they apparently feed upon themselves to gain power, we need to setup the section for individual units. It could be helpful to get division 3 for study there, and get them to work.” HQ “You have your orders Major, but in light of the situation, we will see what we can do. Give us any of the Stat Titles and I'll tell you what you can do improve your score in it. (Great if you get a 9/10 and wanna go that little extra) Please understand that allot of the things you can do to improve your stats lower other the stats of your character. So asking for all 6 may be a waste of your time as it's impossible to get 10/10 on all Stats with the same outfit. Also do take a look at the "How To Improve Your Stats" Section below. It would save us both some time, so do cover the points listed there before you ask for the #4 Rate. How To Improve Your Avatar. #1 How To Improve Your zOMG Rate. We'll judge you on the following: - Character - The quality of the Role Playing Character, it should be obvious as to whether you're an Evil Warrior, a Eager Adventurer or a Lone Ranger. - Originality - So it may be obvious you're a Pirate or a Demon Slayer, but have I seen it all before? Try to include your own unique style into the outfit. - Theme - zOMG! and Gaia have a duality of eras in their items, medieval weapons mixed with Japanese culture and futuristic outfits. Finding the balance will be the key to this rate. - Memorability - You have to stand out in the zOMG! world, players should want to Recrewt you based on your outfit alone and be able to spot you weeks later. - Suitability - Some items look fine in the Forums, but terrible in the game. Creatures, Sparkles and Flames look terrible in their static state while playing zOMG! Try not to include these items. So try to meet these points and you'll get a good score. -------------------------------------------------- #2 How To Improve Your Attribute Stats. Strength: - Make your torso look bigger than everything else. - Show lots of skin on the torso area - show off those pecks. - Battle Scars and Tattoos. High Pain threshold. - Weapons are needed, swords, staffs, pitchforks, gauntlets etc. - Facial or Body Hair, makes you look manly and barbaric. - Big Accessories, like Belts, Gloves, Boots etc. Defence: - Wear lots of layers, the more the better. - Try and wear clothes that look like Metal/Armour. - Helms/Masks are very important. - Hand Held Items can stop attacks from even reaching you. - Thick looking Baggy clothes look the best. - As little Skin showing as possible really. Speed: - Don't make your outfit Top Heavy, you'll fall over. - Wear slim trousers and lightweight shoes. - Wear animal style items such as tails, claws and ears. - Wear scarfs or capes... like superheroes. - Weapons show you're well trained and have quick reactions. - Look like stereotypically fast people, gunmen, ninjas etc. Stealth: - Black, Greys, Browns, Dark Colours help the best. - Try to get your outfit to be all one shade/colour. - Reduce movement within the charcter, cover hair etc. - Wear tight fitting clothes. - Don't wear anything shiny, glowing or bright. - Don't have high contrasting colours. Status: - Wear smart clothes, Dress Formal. - Wear lots of jewelry, show off your wealth.. - Carry a book, laptop, paintbrush, flowers etc. - Expensive looking clothes with Frilly bits or Fur. - Make yourself look more mature/old. - Have a pet/servant with you of some kind. Magic: - Wear bright clothes, vivid colours. - Wear lots of shiney items and jewelry. - Have a handheld item to project your magic, staff, book etc. - Dress in Robes, Capes, Scarfs etc. - Try to look like the type of Magic you want to control. - Equip items that look like you've casted a spell. -------------------------------------------------- #2 How To Improve Your Attribute Stats. Morality: Good/Evil - High Contrast and angelic items make you a good person. - Bows or Flowers make you look more innocent and good. - Dark/Demonic or Low Contrast Clothes make you evil. - Items that cover the face tend to create a more evil look. Happiness: Happy/Sad - Smiles obviously make you look happier. - Bright colours and fun items show you're happy. - Dull, grey colours make you look unhappy. - Droopy emo hair makes you sad. Maturity: Mature/Immature - Suits or gowns make you look more adult and mature. - Beards or Glasses come with age and shows maturity. - Baggy/Trendy clothes show you're young and less mature. - Crazy/Funky items show you have a sense of humour and immaturity. Confidence: Aggressive/Passive - Weapons show you're ready to fight and are more aggressive. - Wearing Baggy/Armour items that make you look bigger. - Look like a Maid or Clerk, like you're working for someone. - Try to look like an outcast like a Rogue or just a nerd. Outgoingness: Extrovert/Introvert - Pets tend to be for more Social Characters. - Certain classes are more Social like Goblins or Knights - Masks or Scarves are for people who are Anti-Social. - Monochrome makes you blend into a crowed.
