Love is Choice: (currently being rewriten
What is 'love'?: Is love that butterfly feeling in your stomach when you are with that special someone?
NO! My concept of love is not this, to me, love is choice, and human feeling and desires are not our own choice. Desire is simply our body hungering for something, and this something can be anything. We do not choice to feel, instead we choice who we act. Love is a choice, the choice of how we act toward others and how we treat them. Love is the choice of acting in kindness toward others, to be good for others, to care about others. That is my concept of love.
Then what is that butterfly feeling inside my stomach that I feel when I am with that special someone?: That is a feeling, a need, a bodily longing for pleasure, however, it most surely isn't love, it is a desire.
Freedom a state of mind:
Think, for a single moment; what is freedom? When are you truly free? Are you truly free if you where an omnipotent being? With the ability to do everything you could ever imagine, knowing everything there was to know? No, this is not freedom, this would be just the opposite; if you would know everything and would be able to do everything you would be chained by your own power. You would know every action you and others where going to take in advanced, you would know the results of those actions, and in turn the results of the reactions, etc, and etc. You would know and experience everything in a single moment and this moment would last forever for you could no longer die if you didn?t want to. There for you would never again change, learn, and evolve, you would be stuck in a single moment of eternity until you decide to end yourself, but even that action you already knew. You would be your own cage.
However even the opposite of omnipotence is not freedom, for you would be helpless and unable to do anything. This brings me to the conclusion that freedom has nothing to do with power or ability, I believe that freedom is a state of mind.
Think, for a single moment; what is freedom? Accept, for a single moment that you are, just as all living things, a machine. Accept, for a single moment that you, just as all things, are bound to a multitude of unknown physical laws that no one could ever fully understand, that no one will ever be able to break and/or change. Realise then that our self-awareness is build from, depended on, and guided by your physical body. Realise that you body is nothing more then a brilliantly mixture of a multitude of physical materials that cannot do otherwise then obey those never-to-be-understood laws of matter. Realise now that there is no such thing as choice, no ego, and no free will. Neither in life nor death.
To accept all that is to give up on life, to discard your ego, and to accept that you are a mindless slave to fate. In this lies your freedom, for you, nothing no longer matters, you have given up and no longer care what will happen to yourself or anything and anyone else. You now know that all things are useless and that death is inevitable, and that nothingness lies beyond.
And yet, you live, free to walk, to breath, to laugh, to talk, to think, to wonder. Free to do everything your body enables you to do, free to try out everything your imagination can think up. You, if you would choose to, could simply end your existence, kill yourself, in the end that is all that awaits you, it is inevitable. But realise that even that has no use, your death would still not mean anything, it would change nothing about your current state.
Realise now that no matter what you do right now it would change nothing to your situation, nothing would be different, nothing would still not matter. So what can you do that matters, what can you do to change things? The answer is simple, there is nothing that you can do for the laws that bind us all can not be broken nor be changed. And even if you could, even if you could change or break them it would still not change your situation.
Realise now that nothing matters, nothing changes, and everything is useless, what is there left to do that does matter? If there is nothing that matters, then why not use the little time that you have to enjoy yourself. Why worry about things that don?t matter and that can?t be altered?
Fun, pleasure, and enjoyment have not changed, the things you once liked to do are still there and you still like them as much as before.
Now is the moment that you are reborn, enlighten with new wisdom and from this point forward you can build up a new life. Now you can regain a new ego and take on life even more strongly then ever before for you now know that no matter what you do it matters not, it changes nothing, not in life, not in death. Now nothing can push and keep you down for you are below everything, you have reached the deepest point in your existence, and you no longer fear even death.
You are free to decide what does matter, free to do whatever you want, free to shape the world around you, without fear, without having to look for answers to questions that can never be answered. The only choise now is where do you start?
