In life there are things that you cannot prevent. Things such as hate, and war they cannot be stopped, they will never end. Mindless killing, torture, even abuse things that we preview but never see them as they are. Humans, demons, even the dead cannot see things as they are, but can animals? Who knows...

“Sister, I do not understand. Preempt our food and take it away from any wolves why would we need to take their food?” Kana asked her older sister. Still a young puppy she did not understand that wherever you live it is kill or be killed. Even if she was, a mixed breed Kana was built well for surviving her fur was short and thick so it was good to stay warm in the cool area, the coat was black perfect to hide her in the night.

“Kana focus. Humans must precook their food so they can eat it we must capture and kill it ourselves. Mother taught us that before she was killed remember?” Kana’s elder sister Sumomo said crouching down with her ears perked up. With her small build she was made for speed over anything else. “Look over there it is a deer follow me and be ready to attack this is a precedent for when you must hunt alone. Keep close to the ground and single out the young prey old prey and the sick for they are all the weakest.” Sumomo told Kana quietly. Moving swiftly through the grass she came behind the deer and bit it in the neck so the death was quick. “See strike the neck the animal will die quick with little pain and there will not be a big fight where you may be hurt”

Ripping part of the animal’s hide off Sumomo dug a hole into the ground and in the ice as if to prepackage it for later. “Only you were built for speed your body is made for a quick kill I am not so what should I do?” Kana asked biting away at some of her sister’s kill.

“Kana you know that is just a pretext you are nothing more than scared that you will not be able to do the same. Find a good target and just go for it don’t act as if you must sit in the anteroom and wait for me to do the kill for you” Sumomo said licking her paws. For some reason she was different from most wolves she found the aftertaste of any blood to be nasty were as other wolves found it to be great.

“You know you are so weird sister. A normal wolf would bask in the afterglow of killing prey but you just act as if it is nothing. In your line the aftereffect will be that posterity will be different from wolves maybe even feared by humans” Kana told her sister who was always so different only it did not bother her one bit.
