Ashley and the Ice Crystal
It was snowing and Ashley was walking home from the library, since it was freezing, she took a shortcut through the park. She stopped when she saw something shining against the street lights, she walked towards it and picked it up. She put it her pocket to see it later at her house since she couldn't see because of the faint light the street light was giving out. When she reached her house, she went up to her room and looked at the object she picked up. She put it on her desk and walked to the pile of books she got at the library and took the book entitled ROCKS over to the desk where she had placed the crystal-like rock. She looked through the whole book but couldn't find it. Ashley then decided to see if she could find anything in the computer, it was called an Ice Crystal and they were first discovered when an asteroid had hit the Earth over a million years ago, they were said to be cursed with the dark magic of a witch from a distan planet in the galaxy known as Pentirle. Ashley looked at the rock not knowing if she should believe the story or not. Before she even got to decide, she heard the front door open then close and heard her mother call her.
Ashley was a curious 13 year old girl. If she found something that she liked, she'd try to find out more about it. But besides her being curious all the time, she was an only child who lived with her single mother. Ashley had brown hair, used glasses, and always used a white shirt with any colored skirt, and had no friends.
The next morning after Ashley had her breakfast, she went back to her room to see if she could find out anything else on the Ice Crystal. She spent hours looking,but she didn't find anything else.
I know there's something more to the story... I just know it! That was all that was on her mind at that moment. Before she turned back to her computer, the crystal suddenly started glowing. Ashley was surprised and fell off her chair and just looked at the crystal floating over her desk with a eek expression on her face. She got up and looked at it a little more closely. When she touched the glow got brighter. She quickly pulled her hand away and looked at it.
What if the story's true? What if it really does a dark curse on it?
She looked up at the crystal wich didn't have the colored glow. It now had a colored glow. She sat back on her chair, she started to reach out to touch it again, but pulled it back afraid it would burn her hand again. As she watched it just sit there, she kept wondering what she was going to do with it, not only that, but her mother had told her not to pick up things she finds on the floor, but Ashley never did listen to her mom. She turned and walked towards the window at looked outside, and wen she turned around, the crystal had a colored glow on it, she was simply amazed at her little discovery, she walked slowly to her computer and tried to find out more.
The next morning Ashley woke up at her desk but when she looked up, the crystal was gone!! She got up so fast, she nearly fell over and searched her whole room for the crystal. It was nowhere to be found. Where could it have gone?!?! Could it be that the crystal really is cursed?
