Alas, my heart has finally been broken. Lady blue lint fuzz has left our humble abode. It happened during a fight with mistress daydreamer_girl. I guess it really wasn't a good thing that the lost guy came to our house. It isn't his fault really...I don't see why they have to argue about him though...isn't...never mind
I think she said she was working at a library the last time she came over, cozying up to Mr. lune. She looks different too, not as..casual I guess. She wears fancy clothes like mistress daydreamer_girl. It feels empty now and it's not as fun cleaning up anymore trying to help her do her work too. And even after I'm done all my chores she's not there rolling her eyes at me anymore, like mistress. But just the way she does it...it's different.
2 days ago I say here at the fountain, on my way to buy groceries, with a book in her hand. My made me jump because she surprised me. She said hi nicely, but said she couldn't talk long because she had to go soon. It was a nice visit but now I'm even sadder. This dog house seems so small and uncomfortable now. I don't get it, was it always this way in here? I sure hope not. I can't smile when I think of cookies crying

It's been a very busy year! I haven't had much of a rest lately. The new maid hired by mistress daydreamer_girl doesn't seem to be liking it here even though I do everything I can to cheer her up. I learned how to juggle just to make her smile but instead she just raises her eyebrows and turns away. I don't understand it, doesn't juggling usually make everyone smile? Mistress daydreamer_girl didn't like it much either, especially when one of the juggling balls slipped out of my hand and hit her in the back of the head. I got an extra pile of work for her to do after that and now my hands are aching from washing the whole basement with a toothbrush.
The new maid also doesn't like singing songs either. One verse of Old Macdonald and she marched out of the door. At least next time I know to pick a better song. Maybe she'll like row row row your boat better?
Oh and another thing! A new visiter arrived a few days ago. He was in a car crash and doesn't seem to remember where he's from. That's something we have in common...I don't remember where I came from either. I asked him if he needed anything and he said he had a headache so I did my best to stay quiet. He seems like an ok fellow, but ever since he arrived mistress and the new maid have been bickering like I've never seen before.
Yesterday they were competing about who gets to serve chicken noodle soup to him before the other. That didn't turn out too well when they ran down the hallway with a bowl of soup in their hands. It just so happens that I was scrubbing down the baseboards when both of them tripped over my cleaning things and spilled the soup all over the hallway including me. It wasn't fun having to clean up when you're burned. Can you imagine cleaning not being any fun? That was the first time I didn't feel like cleaning.
Later on it turned out that I was the one who served the soup while mistress and the new maid had begun arguing about who was going to serve him hot chocolate. I went into the doghouse right away for that one.

It seems as though daydreamer_girl has hired some more help to do work around the help. I am blessed because that means I only have to do a little less of the work I usually do. But I still do get lonely for the work I used to do that was assigned to miss blue_lint_fuzz. I was so glad she let me clean the bathrooms for her. Besides I can't let her dirty her hands cleaning it out. She even said so.
After we were done we were talking for a little bit and I asked her if she was having fun yet. She told me she can't wait till she got paid. I was a little surprised. "Isn't the gratification of working here enough for you?", Then she gave me a funny look and walked away. I hope I didn't upset her.
I think I'm going to eat the cookie miss daydreamer gave me a week ago. What a treat to have a cookie once in a while, even if it is stale. I'm so thankful for daydreamer_girl's generosity!

Wow, as I was cleaning up daydreamer's cellar I noticed a box of neat stuff that daydreamer called junk and told me to throw it away if I will. But as I reached in, found a dandy old cape, a magnifying glass, an old flashlight (it still works!!) and a weird mask. I took it instantly to my little home and tried it all on. I look like halloween! This is so much fun! Weeee! rofl
Check how slick I am!

Celebrating christmas is so fun! Last year wasn't so great, I was lost in the mountain somewhere...(getting chased by bears is no fun). But this year I had daydreamer_girl to celebrate it with. Actually in the morning she was quite grumpy, but as soon as she saw all of her presents, her frown turned quickly into a smile. I was so so eager for her to open my present, because I saved up all year for it! By the time she opened it my heart was pounding. It was a balloon. She said thank you(she made a funny face), and put it by all all her other gifts and opened some more presents. I was so happy that she said thank you. It was a surprise.
What made the day special was that she actually gave me a day off. No cleaning! It was so wierd, I didn't know what to do with myself so i went outside and made a big snowman. By the end of the day, the yard was so full of snowmen and I was so tired so I went to go visit daydreamer_girl inside the house again. I asked her what she thought of the snowmen and she said they looked nice, then she said she was tired so she went to bed. For the first time, I actually saw her smile.
Merry christmas and happy new year!! mrgreen

It gets really cold sometimes in the doghouse, especially since now it's fall and almost winter. I have to work up a great amount of courage just to ask for an extra layer. But seeing as how generous mistress is, I'm sure can spare something.
*Later* I asked Mistress daydreamer_girl and she was able to give an extra sheet! Can you believe the generosity of daydreamer_girl? You can expect nothing less of her. I feel so honored to work for her! mrgreen

Would you believe? A few days ago, mistress daydreamer_girl made me clean out the toilet with my bare hands...and a rag... crying It was so repulsive. I don't know how much I can take of this! At least the pay is good. Three dimes and a cookie!!! A cookie! Who else is generous enough to give away their own cookies? I am blessed.
Yesterday I had to clean the whole house but I didn't care. Mistress gave me another cookie and oatmeal! A welcome change from the usual gruel. ( I even got to use brown sugar and milk! mrgreen )
Oof! Typing is hard...I'll take a break for now and go back to my doghouse. At least I don't have to sleep outside in the cold...another thing I'm greatful for.
