Sweet poem that my lovely boyfriend wrote for me... it relates to our current struggle. It may not strike you as emotionally as it does us, but I thought it rocked anyway.
Happiness
and
Reality
Two obscurities
torn away from me
What
The
Hell
has
caused
this
to
happen
to
me?
One moment
and I’m sitting there on my golden throne
And
Next to me
on my left
You sit there looking at into me
staring into my eyes
holding my hand
in reassurance of everything
And the next
the world fractures
And we are at the bottom
looking up
at our empty thrones
way above our heads so far away
And then it hits
just how high we were
just how close we were
how good we had our lives…together
And we see
all that remains
just a memory of the times gone by…
…and…
…a glimpse of the future.
And of our hopes
for the future
and our dreams from the past
What will it take
to get back up
and rejoin the angels on high
Back to where
we started out
with all that glint and shine
I miss your eyes
and I miss your beautiful mind
But most of all it’s you
that I miss the most
Your personality
and all the possibilities
