Prologue

Year 619 A.D.

A long time ago, there was a castle, which ruled over most of the kingdom. The country of Gladius, lies a kingdom which ruled by King Dorian. King Dorian was a great king who rules according to his heart and his daughter, Princess Erika, who treated everyone fairly. Princess Erika was a beautiful princess and showed the people in the kingdom how wonderful the place is and her kindness was immeasurable. People greatly respect King Dorian and Princess Erika.


However, there is a dark god who was consumed with lust over land and people. His name was Cross. In times, he was one of the rulers over the world of Madrida but some how darkness crept into his heart. It has changed him to an evil being that his own brother, Damian, lock him up in the darkness prison. Damian remorse over his brother imprisonment but it was the good for Madrida. Time has passed and the world of Madrida has changed. A creature has dug a box from within the soil. This creature is an elf. He is full of curiosity that can lead him to mischief. But he doesn’t mind. He just learns it from mistake. But this mistake is going to cost him gravely. The box he is holding is Cross’s prison. He opens the box and Cross was freed. He and Cross merge together into a superior entity that the land began to rot. All life-form had died out that the land has fallen. He is delighted and decided to claim himself as a new entity named Rien.

Rien has declared war upon the world of Madrida and those who stand in his way shall be obliterated. The only way to destroy Rien is to have 3 crystals seal him into the sacred ground where no evil can escape. King Dorian asked King Horus and King Osomis to help to stop the dark tides. But the two kings refused and ignore his plead. King Dorian assembles his forces and march towards Rien’s dark forces. Many lives have fallen and the dark force kept massing. King Dorian has fighting against Rien for years that King Dorian was winning the war.

On a dark stormy night, it was Princess Erika 16th birthday and it was a splendid party to be celebrated with her father and the people of Gladius. In time, it is tradition that when the princess reaches to the age to 18, she must be wed to a prince from the other kingdom and succeeds to the throne. But Princess Erika woke up late at night, hearing eerie noise coming from her door. Princess Erika got off her bed, put on her slippers and grabbed the lamp. Princess Erika slowly twisted the knob and slowly glanced through the small gap. She walked into the hallway and looked around. Princess Erika did not find anything that and was relief. She walked back into her chamber. Princess Erika walked towards her bed when a pair of two black hands covers her mouth and eyes. She struggle all her might until she felt dizzy. A large dark shadow impales a small note with a knife on the door and carried the princess over his shoulder. Darkness expands all over the room and the person had disappeared.
In the morning, King Dorian found a note that said:

If you want your daughter to live, meet me at the darkest mountain where the sunlight never touches the ground. There is where we shall discuss some plans for the exchange of your daughter. Come alone and don’t mention this note to anyone. Any funny business and you will sorely regret it. Your daughter will surely receive the death penalty.

King Dorian looks at the note with dismay. Without any delay, King Dorian rode his horse towards the deepest, darkest mountain he known for years. Hopping for the best that Erika is alright, King Dorian rode to the mountain with haste. The land was unbearable that no human being can survive and dark creatures are inhabitant. King Dorian has reached the flat surface of the mountain and saw Rien with Erika. “I followed your request. Now unhand my daughter!” said King Dorian. “I will. I am a man of my word. Your daughter is perfectly safe. We just need to change some plans.” said Rien. “Plans? What plans?” King Dorian asked. “Plans for Madrida, of course.” said Rien. With a swift snap of his fingers, a dark arrow impaled King Dorian at his back. The king staggered and looked at Rien. “You fiend!” King Dorian spat. The King was on his one knee to balance himself. Rien laughed cruelly and said “Thank you. Now I shall take over your kingdom and make sure I will take over these lands.” King Dorian collapsed on the ground and lay there motionlessly. Princess Erika struggled and cried out her father. Hopping to hear her voice.

At the Kingdom of Gladius, dark clouds swirling over the castle and monsters appear out of nowhere. Within deep of the castle library, a small scroll shines very brightly that open up itself. Within the scroll, it contains a prophecy that a stranger from the other world will appear to collect the three crystals to banish the evil tyrant away from the world of Madrida and the world of gods. This stranger will appear at the Old Elf Well, where no men wouldn’t even dare to cross the land. People pray that a hero will save Princess Erika and destroy the evil tyrant Rien.

A young man walked down Washington St. on a late morning, heading to his office. This young man name is Ken Toshiro. His family moved to Boston, hopping for better opportunities than in the country of China. His father is Japanese and his mother is Chinese. Ken was born in America. He had a tough time fitting in with the city because there are hardly any people like Ken. Ken is a 19 year old man who studies in marksmanship and kendo. He already has his own black belt at the age of 10 and his license of owning a gun at the age of 15. At the age of 17, Ken already earned his Masters and Bachelor’s degree. Now he work as a soldier, assigned to take difficult jobs that no one will dare to accept. Ken was an unusual person. But Ken doesn’t care. He kept walking until he sees a kid standing in the middle of the street. Ken hastily walks up to the child and carries him off the street but the child struggles. Ken hears a truck coming towards them. “Oh s**t! Doesn’t the driver see him or the kid?” Ken thought. Ken closed his eyes and brace for impact. A childish giggle and Ken open his eyes. The trick is nowhere to be seen. As the matter of fact, there is nothing around Ken. Nothing but empty space. Ken looked up and saw the child he was trying to save. The child smile and said “You have been selected.” “For what? Is this some sick joke of yours” Ken angrily growl. The child continues to smile and said “Be careful. because right now, you’re falling.” The child was right. Ken slowly descends until he is rapidly falling. Ken saw the well beneath him and grabbed on. Ken gripped tightly and pulled himself up. “Is that suppose to be funny?!” Ken shouted. Ken saw nothing but forest surround him and the well. Ken got to his feet and yelled out. He saw his katana and two holsters of guns. “Why are they here?” Ken mumble to himself. Ken strap on his swords and walked towards the forest. Dark and gloomy the forest may be, Ken focused on how to get back. It is getting dark outside and Ken doesn’t found a place to rest. Then a sound of rustle came from the side of Ken. Ken slowly looks over the hedge and saw a young girl. From her size, her age must be at least 6 or 7 years old. “What’s wrong?” Ken asked. The little girl looked up and said “I can’t find my pet. It’s already dark outside and I don’t want to go home alone.” Ken offered his hand and said “Let me help you find your pet.”
