TARINI SAVIOR- Homestuck OC Fanfic
Her name was Tarini Savior. And she had an unusual, never-before-seen mutation.

Her moirail had believed that he knew the extent of it. He had believed that the limit of Tarini’s mutation was the ability to change her outward appearance, playing either the Landdweller or the Seadweller at will, even though her natural state was that of a Seadweller. It was a mutation that was well-suited for a Laughsassin. For the Emperor’s moirail.

Keinen was willing to let her live in spite of the mutation, partially because it was extremely useful for infiltrating lowblood rebellions. But Tarini wasn’t stupid. She had known what would happen if Keinen ever learned the true extent of her mutation.

That it ran right down to her blood.

For countless sweeps she had kept it a secret. She had concealed the true color of her blood, pretending to be a Seadweller. But unfortunately, she had been unable to hide it any longer. Weakened from a mission, dripping blood on the floor, Tarini had stumbled into her room to clean up.

And Keinen walked in right behind her.

That was where they stood now. Tarini, drooping ears in place of flaring fins, dripping pigmentless blood on the floor. Keinen, eyes sharp and his preferred weapon in hand.

Tarini closed her eyes, and gossamer wings as transparent as her blood fluttered once behind her before drooping down.

Keinen, the Emperor, was her moirail.

Keinen valued purity of blood above all else.

Including her.

She was a mutated freak to him, she knew. No matter the fact that they had known each other since they were grubs- no matter that they were moirails.

For the crime of daring to exist, with blood lacking any pigment, she would face culling.

A single, equally transparent tear rolled down her cheek as she acknowledged the fact that her moirail did not truly care for her the way that she cared for him. Not when she defied his precious Hemospectrum.

Tarini’s death had only one small mercy.

At least she was culled in private, instead of being made an example of on the culling blocks.
