Xbox No-Life
Well, it's been a ******** year and a half since I've started keeping a journal on Gaia and this is only my fourth entry. My procrastination skill has just hit God-level. Half the reason why I don't write in this damn thing is because I'm lazy and I don't want to write something that nobody'll read. The other reason is because I'm usually busy with the other non-important functions of my so-called life; including school, drum lessons, and of course, Xbox Live. This dark place in cyberspace that I've spent the last 9 months wasting my life on, fragging n00bs and cussing violently at the other 6 million assholes who also inhabit Live has completely engulfed all my free time left over from everything else I do. Now, the only reason why I even subscribed to Live in the first place was because my friends badgered me into playing Halo 3 with them a week after I got it. I was a semi-happy child then. Now I usually go to bed pissed off because my retarded teammates caused me to get teabagged consistently throughout a 9-minute torture-fest that Bungie calls a Social Slayer match. Don't get me wrong, I like Halo and the other couple of games I play on Live(I have to, otherwise I have no way to justify the 1500 Matchmaking games I've played on Halo so far), but I utterly hate the stupid people who play them with me. Because most of the time if you don't personally know half the people in a match(or if you don't just go and mute everyone like I do nowadays), then it just turns into an episode of Jerry Springer, only the cuss words aren't bleeped out and the people fighting each other have automatic rifles and grenades that adhere to others but strangely enough not to your hand when you throw them. And I really doubt that it would get any better if I'd move on to Call of Duty 4. According to my friend that plays it a lot, it's full of extremely angry British guys. Now, don't get me wrong, I love England; they produced the best rock music and fish and potato dishes ever; but the most of the Brits I've played with where ten times pissier than any American a*****e I've ever been trash-talked by. Plus, I just suck at COD, whereas I have some skill at Halo(I now know, after 1500 games, how not to get Bulltrued by a guy with a shotgun when wielding an energy sword). Either that, or I've haven't gotten a whole lot better at Halo, and the idiots I play with are just that sucky. Though that would be extremely unbelievable, because Halo 3 is the first Halo game I've ever owned. I've only ever played Halos 1 and 2 at social gatherings, and sucking so bad that I wanted to shove my Xbox controller so far up my opponents' asses that they wouldn't be able to excrete solid wastes and they'd eventually explode from s**t overload. But, if Xbox Live has taught me anything(which it hasn't) it's that no game is worth getting so pissed over that your screams of blind rage could wake the dead, and your mom. Still, it doesn't stop them from being fun...........
