Okay... So my best friend's cat they took in had kittens a couple months or weeks back... Not long ago. A little before school got out... THEY WERE ADORABLE!!! So I practicaly live at my best friends house and hers at mine. So I helped raise the kittens alot too. The Mother was pretty negligent. Finally the time came where she had to give them away. There were 2 boys and 2 girls. 1 of the girls, a calico, we were pretty sure was deaf, so for safety reasons she was planning to keep that kitten and 1 of the little boys who were like twins. The boy, Kruton, was a a lighter orange than his brother, Sparda. It didn't work out that way and her guardian gave away the deaf girl while traci was away. So she ended up keeping the other girl, poo face, or coco and the momma's boy, Kruton. Well naturally being her best friend and also having a love for cats we took the 3rd and final.. Sparda, who we renamed Hades.. Hades was a ball of fire... Mischevious and distructive, but very playful and sweet when tired... So we had him for about 2 weeks... ( Mind you we were both kinda skeptical on having this cat taken to my house for my father is not fond of cats, I have abusive lil sisters, and we also have a giant lab who's dumber then mud and other very territorial cats. ) But he was just fine... I had numerous bad dreams about having Hades stepped on or closed in a door.... Always afraid what my family would accidently do when not looking down. Well....... Upon my return from Drivers Ed. I was walking upstairs when my foot was attacked by the lil devil... And I tripped on the stairs... And upon finding my feeting to keep from falling stepped on the tiny kitten... According to the vet had that been what ailed him some part of him would have been crushed.... They believe that Hades freaked out and launched out from under my foot and slammed his poor precious noggin into the wall... Blood came out his nose and he released his bowls upon my sobbing mother who wasn't any more quiet then my screams and pleas to take him to the vet. It turned out he had some head trauma and had a 70% chance of survival... Over night he showed about 5% progress, which was alot less then they'd expected... Or really hoped for... Mom had already spent $600 for this little trip and it would cost about 300 more to have him taken care of for the rest of the day. So we took him home to care for him. They said that if he showed no real signs of improvement between 12-24 hours then it was not likely he'd be anything more then the vegetable he already was at that point... Well.. The clock is now running short as I write this entry.... Knowing soon we will be in the oh so desired ( I wish I could insert sarcasm of the highest level in an entry ) ride to the vet to put the poor dear out of the misery that I, as morbidly ironic as it is, put him in. There is no one to blame but me.... I practically killed my own child... After many hours of lack of sleep and effort to keep him in my room, safe away from dangerous feet... I can't help but choke out a laugh through my tears... God must really hate me.. I prayed... Lord I prayed.. I begged Hades to stay with me and practically screamed appologies.. I almost puked at the thought of how my best friend would react at the news of her kitten being murdered by the very person she entrusted him to..... Wow... Just wow.... Hades..... Oh Hades..... Had I not set my foot down and fell down the stairs... I would have been the one with the injury.. not him... I would have been fine.. If not, I lived a much longer life then him.... God why?.... How cruel.... can you get.... How worthless.... Can I become?
