The Eagle, Kitten, Fox, and Crow
Once upon at time, there was an eagle and a kitten, and they loved each other very much. But a jealous crow wanted the eagle all to herself, so she plotted to get rid of the kitten.
When the eagle went off to find food, the crow snuck to the house, planning to set it on fire with the kitten inside. Before she could do anything, the eagle noticed her and stopped behind her.
"What are you doing?" he asked, ready to attack.
She turned around and said "Oh! nothing! I'm not doing anything at all!"
The eagle was doubtful but decided to let her go. The crow decided she'd need help and went to find the most cunning of all the animals; the fox.
"Fox! fox!" she called, flying over to her. "I need your help. I want to try and get kitten away from--"
"I won't help you,"the fox interrupted.
"But why?" the crow pleaded.
The fox knew the eagle and kitten loved each other very much and belonged together.
"They belong together," she said.
"But I want eagle. I love him," the crow said, but the fox refused.
Later that day, the fox went to visit the eagle and kitten. They were happy because she was a good friend, but when fox told them what crow was up to, they weren't so happy.
The crow was enraged, having heard this, and planned her revenge. As the fox left the eagle and kitten, she promised to come the next day. As she headed up the mountain, the crow pushed her off a ledge.
Holding on by her paw, the fox trying to climb up, but the crow pecked at her paws until the fox finally fell to her death.
The crow then headed back to eagle and kitten's house.
The two waited for their friend to return, but she never did. The eagle went in search of her, flying around the mountain. When he finally found her, he was horrified. Then he heard a shriek.
"Kitten!" he yelled in horror, flying back to their home. When he got there, he saw crow and he rammed into her. Crow hit tthe wall, her wing breaking. He turned to kitten who was unharmed.
Afterwards, he took crow to the same ledge when fox had fell and dropped her, making her face the same fate.
That night, they had a funeral for their dear friend, still together.
Forever.
The Eagle, Kitten, Fox, And Crow
<CONTINUED>
Aye, the Fox was dead. As was the Crow. But whom did the Eagle and Kitten really mourn that night? They did not mourn. They were too in love, too blind. They noticed nothing but each other. The Fox died, the day after she warned her two best friends. The Kitten and Eagle never truely mourned. They never truely liked the Fox to begin with. She was just there. She had no true meaning. Sure, they would talk to her... but, in the end, they really didn't care. The Fox mattered none to them that night. All that mattered to them was each other. The Fox had lost her life for what she had done for them. They repaid her with hatred. They did not care that, even in the after life, what they said and did hurt. They didn't understand. They had each other. Never anything less. They had each other to fall back on. For now. When they no longer have each other, they may realize their mistake. But it would be far too late. Fox is, was, and will be dead. Always. She will no longer be there at their disposal. No longer there to be dangled from a string and toyed with. She is no longer a play thing for the Eagle and the Kitten. The Fox will never allow them to play with her emotions again. Never again like they had. Fox had allowed the torture for weeks, but when the light finally came through... Her two "friends" were merely playing(torturting) with her. Laughing at her pain. What she did didn't matter. All that mattered was their sick entertainment. If they can do those things to her... when were they really her friends? Why would "friends" laugh at another "friend"'s pain? They wouldn't. Never. The Kitten and Eagle only see each other through everything. Never anything else. Just each other. All they care about is each other. When non-fiction comes from fiction, one should be scared. Alas, Kitten, who could be scared with somebird like the Eagle?(Vice versa for the Eagle).
