I should have seen it coming.
Creeping out of the shadows.
You could’ve stopped it somehow,
But no. You just stood there.

It jumped out at me, sinking it’s fangs.
Pulling me into the darkness.
You knew how much it hurt me,
But no. You only watched.

I could feel myself dying slowly
As I watched you disappear.
You could’ve ran after me,
But no. You had already turned away.

I know I was dying, giving up.
What could I do, with you walking away?
You knew I was destroying myself,
But no. Your back was all I could see.

I thought you loved me.
You were my light, forever shining.
You could’ve hugged me, comforted me,
But no. You had found someone new.

So I gave up completely.
I gave into the darkness.
You knew you could’ve saved me.
But no. You had already walked away.

“I dreamed I was missing
You were so scared,
But no on would listen
Cause no one else cared.”

But what happens when
The nightmare comes true?
Will you still love me
Even when I’m gone?

What happens when
I have to leave you?
What will you do?
Will you move on?

Would you track me down
So we can be together?
Or will you forget me,
Like I never existed?

The darkness when
