Heaven (Story)
(This story takes place in an anthropomorphic world)
An angel wandered carelessly through the many heavens of those that live in paradise when he almost fell down a massive cliff that seemed to have no bottom. She looked around realizing that she was in someone else's heaven, she wondered who would want there heaven to be a bottomless void. She then noticed a floating chunk of earth into the distance and spread her wings and made her way to it.
She landed on the chunk of earth and noticed a large glass ball before her and walked over to it. She placed her hand on it and withdrew it quickly, it was freezing cold. She examined it closer and realized what it was, frozen blood and tears. She walked around it and saw something inside it, it looked like a head, she quickly shattered the sphere with her sword and looked at the man that now lay before her on the ground.
The man stood and shook the pieces of the shattered blood and tears off his fur and stared down at the angel. He was quite intimidating, he stood very tall, passing seven feet, and his fur was a deeper shade of black than the void that was below them. His eyes shone with a deep red that made his iris look like little pools of blood.
But something else about him caught the angels attention, he was a wolf yet he had a massive pair of black wings and a dark green tail that resembled that of a serpent. She stared up at him as fear slowly began to fill her, she freed him from a cold prison of blood and tears and yet he looked down at her angered.
"Why did you let me out?" He asked suddenly, his voice seeming to shake the ground they were standing on and sending a chill down her spine, his voice was as cold as the prison he was held in. "I-i thought you were t-trapped in there." She spoke nervously, she was only a young angel, and this man frightened her greatly. He stretched out his wings as she spoke, his wings were huge! They had a wingspan of at least sixteen feet if not more and they seemed to reflect a light that wasn't present in this dark part of heaven. "I trapped myself in there." He said as coldly as before folding his wings back behind him and stretching his back. As he stretched his back he stood full height revealing that he had been slouching the whole time, he stood at least seven foot six which made the young angel feel even more frightened of him, standing at five foot three, she didn't even come up to his chest.
"W-why?" She asked taking a step back, unknowingly coming close to the edge. "Because I want to be left alone, I want to live in silence without being ridiculed for once." He spoke harsh and loud which caused the angel to take several steps back away from the man. "What do you mean?" She took another step back without realizing that she was now at the edge of the platform. The man snarled and rolled his eyes, the snarl sent another chill down the angels spine.
"If you must know I lived my whole life being bullied because I was different." He made a quick gesture to his wings and tail. "I was killed by a group of people for the same reason." His voice suddenly became less harsh and cold and became filled with sorrow. "I never did anything to them, I never even met any of them... and they killed me, all because I was different." He looked down to the ground and his tail and wings drooped.
The angel was about to step forward to comfort the man when she suddenly lost her balance and fell backwards off the platform. The man saw this and ran forward and jumped off the platform and grabbed her before she fell too far. His massive wings beating behind him as he lifted himself up and placed her back down on the platform.
"Why did you catch me? I have wings and could of flown back myself and even if I did fall it wouldn't hurt me at all since were in heaven." She asked once the man let go of her and she was standing firmly on the grass. "Force of habbit." He turned away from her and walked back to the spot where he was frozen. "I am so kind to the people of the world and look where it got me." He threw his arm out to the side gesturing to the empty void that surrounded them.
"Then make your heaven into something that makes you happy." She said walking over to him, her fear of him gone. "Make it into something you can enjoy, something that made you happy when you were alive."
He stopped and looked over his shoulder at her, his red eyes shining. "How can I do that when I don't even know what its like to be happy?" He asked in a very serious tone.
"Thats impossible, everyone had to have experienced some time of happiness." She spoke, surprised that he would say something like that, it had to be a lie. He turned around and looked to her.
"Every since I was a child I was beaten, when I turned eight my parents started to rape me whenever they felt like it along with more beatings. I never got any peace during the time where I would sleep because my older sister was sadistic and would torture me until I passed out from the pain and exhaustion and she would rape me and scar my body even more during the night until she got tired and went to bed. I woke up every morning to either my father pulling me out of bed forcefully and beating me or my sister torturing me once again. When I managed to get out of the house I was insulted by people in the town and even had rocks thrown at me. No matter what I did, no matter what I said, it was all the same." He turned back around and sat down as the sphere of blood and tears began to form around him. The entire time he spoke he projected the images of his life to the young angels mind and she broke down in tears.
"I... I didn't know.... h-how can people be... that can't be... no one is that cruel..." She said as she held herself as she was on her knees looking at him.
"Welcome to the reality that is the world little girl." Those were the last things spoken by the man as the sphere finished forming and froze around him. The angel looked at him and encased herself in her own sphere of blood and tears.
